(Still Tuesday 15th May 2012)
(Later that day......
(5:30pm)
(The Johnson household)
(A family meeting in the living room)
Rachel: Right!...So Vanessa...Your pregnant right?
Vanessa: Yeah! *sigh*
Rachel: 5 months?
Vanessa: Yeah! *sigh*
Rachel: So you’ve been hiding your pregnancy for 5 months?
Vanessa: Yeah *sigh*
Rachel: Ooooh Vanessa...Why?...You could of just told somebody!
Vanessa: Yeah I know that but, I was just too scared to do so, but the only person who I had to tell for important reasons was the school nurse and our family doctor, who I told not to tell yall
Rachel: What!...Vanessa!!!
John: VANESSA WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT..You KNOW VERY WELL that your OWN PARENTS have the right to KNOW!...YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! KEEPING SECRETS FROM US!..WHO TOLD YOU TO GO AND LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE, HUH!, WHO?
Vanessa: I WASN’T LIVING ME OWN LIFE, AND I’M NOT NOW... I JUST COULDN’T TELL NOBODY!!! *starting to cry*
John: WHY?
Vanessa: *in tears* BECAUSE!...I JUST TOLD YOU...I WAS JUST TOO SCARED!!!...I THOUGHT YALL WOULD PROBABLY HATE ME FOREVER AND DISHONE ME!...THAT’S WHY I COULDN’T TELL YALL, OR ANYBODY!!!
*Vanessa gets up from the sofa and stomps up to her room*
Rachel: Oh man, John, I really think you went a little too hard on Vanessa, maybe you could of spoke to her a lot calmer, you know she’s very sensitive to people shouting at her
Adannma: Yeah daddy, that was unnecessary!
John: You! *pointing at Adannma* don’t interfere young lady!, and you! Rachel, don’t tell me how to raise our kids again, you understand!
Rachel: But I wasn’t! I was just trying to help you
John: NO!...I DON’T NEED NOBODY HELP HERE!...YOU UNDERSTAND ME!...I DON’T NEED NOBODY TELLING “ME!” WHAT TO DO..NOBODY!!!
*John walks out the living room in anger*
Rachel: It’s ok kids, this meeting is over, you can all go
*They all leave*
Rachel: *shaking her head with her hand placed on her forehead*My god, what is this world coming too
(Rachel leaves the living room)
(4 hours later)
(9:30pm)
(Vanessa is sitting at her computer desk in her bedroom, reading a pregnancy book, until her dad suddenly walks in.........
