It has been two days, but there was still no news about Jisoo.
More anxious than ever, Nari swallowed her pills with a glass of water.
She was back at her home and was given a week off from work by her sympathetic boss at the cafe she worked at, Vernon.
"I should get some fresh air," Nari mumbled to herself, the pills finally kicking in after a couple of minutes.
She felt numb, but that feeling was all too familiar to her.
The weather, the scenery, the flowers, they were all perfect. Children's giggles were all around, the birds chirped in a delightful harmony and the lake shone like myriads of blue crystals.
How insensitive of mother nature, being so ethereal while Nari was broken to the core, desperately finding a reason to be alive in this ratchet place called reality.
It was then that Mingyu appeared.
And he finally saw how destroyed Nari really was.
