Then came Sunday.
Somehow, Nari noticed neither her message nor Mingyu's reply to the message.
It was already 3.15 p.m. , but she was still busy with a check-up and therapy session with her therapist.
The pale yellow coloured walls and the sunlight which peeked through the window made the place extra warm and cozy.
The interior design was meant to calm patients, and the place itself was really pleasing, but the patients found it nowhere near that.
This is becuase of the unfortunate fact that this place was a mental health clinic, and Nari found it harder and harder to walk in without anyone noticing by the day.
Still, life goes on.
Dr Choi began asking her usual questions.
"How have you been feeling lately?" She peered into Nari's eyes.
"I've been feeling a lot better, surprisingly..."
All of a sudden, Nari's ringtone started playing. She had an incoming call.
Dr Choi noticed this and nodded understandingly. After thanking her, Nari hastily answered the call.
"Hi Nari, are you reaching soon?" Mingyu asked, his voice speeding up Nari's heartbeat without fail.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"We were supposed to meet up at 3 at the cafe you worked in, did you forget?" Mingyu laughed.
"What?? We are?"
Nari ended the call and immediately checked her text messagers, panicking.
Nari's eyes widened. What she didn't notice was that Dr Choi was observing her.
"I sent the text!" Nari gasped.
"I'm so sorry Dr Choi, but I'm late for an important meet-up with someone right now and I have to leave. I'll see you next week." Nari explained, beginning to rush out.
"Have a nice day!" She added, before leaving the place, sprinting towards the cafe.
Dr Choi nodded.
She scribbled something onto her clipboard in a neat cursive font and smiled to herself in satisfaction.
