"Do you honestly need to go, Evan? I'll be so bored here all alone! Everyone always abandons me . "

I huffed, knowing full well how juvenile and whiny I was being.

I was, in all honesty, being left behind alone. Evan had an orientation program that he had to attend before starting work, Ella had a writer's convention happening in Ireland, and Vidyut had a meeting in, of all the places, Las Vegas , for which he was leaving in an hour.

I wanted to go with him, and he had begged me to come, but I had work. I had to remind myself that I was not being stupid, and that I was a strong, independent woman who put her work before her jealousy.

"Sweet sweet sister. You are being slightly irrational. Since when did you develop these intense feelings of abandonment?"

His smile faltered as soon as he heard the question that he himself had asked. He looked at me with a hesitant expression as he tried to read how deep the question had hit me.
He, like me, was thinking about the same guy. The one who walked away from me and never looked back. The guy who broke my heart in my most vulnerable state.
Jaden , the motherfucker.

"Uhh.. Besides, you have Padfoot to give you company." He changed the topic smoothly.

Just then, the puppy bounded into the room, with an over excited bark.

With some difficulty, I let it slide.

I had the most handsome and caring man on planet Earth to spend my life with. I didnt care one bit about my past.

Speaking of whom.

I walked into the room that Vidyut and I shared, only to watch him whirl around, packing his bag.

I sat down on the bed, trying not to get turned on by his powerful appeal, and trying to maintain my whining.

"Don't go, Dyu."

I begged.

He simply smiled softly, walking upto me and placing a light peck on my lips and getting on with his packing.

With each piece of clothing he fetched, I begged him to stay, and with each of my begs he kissed me lightly.

I had no idea why I was so desperate to make him stay. I felt like something was going to happen.

Evan knocked softly on the door.

"Hey kiddo. I'm leaving. Ill be back in three days, okay? Oh, also, I'll drop Ella to the station as well."

To my intense embarrassment, I felt my eyes fill with desperate tears. Evan's smirk changed to a look of concern, as he hurried across the room to pull me into a tight embrace.

"Three days, gorgeous. I'll be back soon!"

"Go already, Evan. Don't make me cry any more. "

He burst out laughing, and with a final kiss on my forehead, he and Ella made to leave. Ella looked gorgeously radiant, and I felt like I knew why. I smiled at her, and she hugged me tightly, before they both left.

Turning around, I spotted Vidyut with a concerned expression.

"You okay, love? "

"Uhh yes. Go go, Dyu. I'm just acting weird today."

I knew honestly how much he wanted to stay back, but I also knew just how important his empire was to him. I wasn't going to make him miss an important deal because I was afraid of some weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.

He zipped up his suitcase, before straightening his suit, while I tried not to mewl like a weak little kitten.

He stalked up to me, before cupping my face and kissing me with that wild passion that I associated with everything that he did.
