"Round start!" The announcer said, and the two players spawn inside of a desert arena with broken pillars and other formations fill the area. Ian draws his MR6 and takes cover behind a fallen stone pillar.
"Let's see what weapons he is going to use." The teen murmured to himself. He jumps over the pillar and runs through the center of the arena, wanting to draw out the enemy. If he knows the enemy's weapon, he can counter it. Just as he planned, the opponent comes out of hiding and sprays bullets towards Ian.
Ian smirked when he heard the sound of an FN-P90 firing the metal bullets towards him. The player strafes from left to right as he avoids getting shot, and the bullets can be heard piercing the pillars behind Ian.
With every second Ian makes it closer to his opponent, for his weapon has to be at a medium or close range to be fully effective. However, the closer he gets the harder it is to avoid bullets travelling at 2,350 feet (715 meters) per second. Ian doesn't give up, for he has dodged bullets, laser, and plasma that travels approximately twice or three times faster than a puny sub-machine gun. It wasn't the speed that was giving Ian a hard time, it was the fact that he has not been evading laser for almost a month or so.
Now in range, Ian pulls his magnum out and jumps up into the air with his legs pointed to the sky and his head directed to the ground. Ian smirked and pulled the trigger with lightning speed, making his pistol seem like an automatic weapon.
The man rolls to his left, knowing that Ian's line of sight is focused downwards and not left and right. The teen grunts as he hits the ground with a forward roll to avoid any fall damage. The opponent smirked, now having Ian at a four to five meter distance and easy to kill. He aimed his gun and pulled the trigger of his FN-P90, sending piercing metal towards Ian.
Smoke rises from in front of Ian, and the man lowered his weapon to see if he hit his target. He was somewhat dumbfounded at the fact that no 'kill' marker has appeared in front of him. Surely no one could've survived a full magazine of bullets at this range.
Much to his surprise, when the grey smoke disappeared, Ian was holding his purple sword in his left hand. All of the 66 bullets that was fired at his direction were all blocked and deflected away from him. The man gasped as he reached down for his Glock-18. But before he could even touch his secondary weapon, the purple blade had impaled his chest.
Ian grinned victoriously as the opponent shattered into a million glass fragments. "I still have it. Ha." He chuckled and stood up from his kneeling pose.
"And he successfully blocked all of Wasp-lash's attack, meaning that he had to deflect each bullet within milliseconds of each other!" The commentator said with awe as Ian was teleported back to the main hub that all the other players are located in.
Ian stepped out of a teleport room that was located in the center of the room to see every player have their jaws dropped or eyes widen to him. Ian could only blink at the sight in front of him.
"GO CALIBER!" A player shouted from within the crowd. The rest of the fighters cheered loudly as the venator walked towards the semi-circled booth that Alera was sitting in. She herself was stunned and was in utter surprise.
"H-how did you block all of those bullets!" Alera quickly asked as she looked at Ian taking a seat.
"What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb! You know exactly what I am talking about!" She said in frustration.
Ian sighed and looked to his left away from the sniper. "Just luck." He lied to her.
"Oh bullshit! I bet I can figure it out! But first thing is first. You're not even a girl, are you." Alera said as she smirked and leaned back.
"Of course I'm a girl. Look at me." Ian tried to keep his identity a secret. Alera quickly saw through the lie.
"No girl would make a username so in-depth about a weapon. Most girls either use their real names, based of their real names, animals, favorite numbers, or something cheesy. For instance, that girl on the other side of us, her username is LittlePrincess1. Her buddy, Kittendevil. Now look at the men. Wasp-lash, a name based of a vehicle and weapon in an old game, Halo 5 Guardians. Whiplash was the tier 2 req railgun, and Wasp was the AV-47 UNSC aerial vehicle. The best player right now, Darkshot17, name based of a void ability that allows the player to use a purple bow and arrow made out of void. So I ask you again. Are you a male?" Alera said, placing Ian on a checkmate.
Caliber sighed and looked back at his acquaintance. "Yea. I'm a guy." He answered her question with an angry tone.
Alera chuckled. She was right once again. "Now, are you a pervert for being able to use a player model like that or-"
"When I converted from my other game, it came out like this. Not sure if it is a bug or a glitch. Heck maybe it was the person who did the conversion that made it like this. I am not a pervert." Ian interrupts Alera halfway through her sentence. Ian is many things, but as he said, a pervert is not one of them.
"I believe you. However, why are you here? Honestly, tell me. I want to help if I can." The sniper said, offering her help so she can quench her curiosity once and for all. And maybe, just maybe, her fear of death in the real world.
"I'm not sure if I should drag you into the mess I am in." Ian murmured. There was just a chance that if he used her help, information will leak, and the killer will leave.
"Tell me." Alera said with a determined look.
"Alright. Let's begin the discussion." Ian made the hard choice to bring her in.
