The room that I was lead into was big and colorful. Sammy was in a bad mood this morning, but I think it was because we were late getting here. That was my fault though, I didn't want to wake up to go to school.
"Hello!" A tall woman greeted me. I looked up and gave her a smile.
"Hi, I'm Dean!" I excitedly waved and she chuckled.
"Introduce yourself to the class!" She clasped her hands together and twenty-four eyes concentrated on me, the new kid. "Meet Dean!"
"Hi, Dean," A voice of unison responded and I noticed that three boys didn't say anything, I didn't like them.
"Tell us about yourself, Dean," the woman waited for my answer.
"Well my Daddy is a hunter," I stated proudly.
"What does he hunt? Deer? Goose?" she asked.
I gave her a confused look. "No."
"What does he hunt?" She gave me a confused look. She looked around the room nervously.
"Ghosts and other monsters!" I jumped up and down. She seemed concerned and the kids in the class started to laugh. I laughed with them, I thought they thought I was cool. My dad was cool.
"Your dad doesn't hunt monsters!" A kid called out, one of the boys from before.
"Monsters aren't even real!" another kid cried out.
"What a baby!" another one howled. I bunched up my fists looked down. Tears went down my cheeks, only if these stupid people knew. Only if they knew what I've seen.
"They are real! They killed my mom!" I cried out. The laughter stopped and you could hear a pin drop in the class. Dead silence.
"Dennis," The teacher said and put a hand on my shoulder.
I looked her into the eyes and grinded my teeth, "My name is Dean. Dean Winchester. Don't you forget it."
