Chapter one

I woke up nervous and exited feeling butterflies in my stomach. Today I am staring my new school here in Beacon Fall my mom's hometown also were she was raised and born. I just currently moved here from Houston tx were I was born and raised the last 13 years of my life. My mom thought it was a good idea to go to her hometown and show me were she was raised.

Of course I was mad because I didn't want to move and leave my friends but the look at my mom's face when she was rambling about her hometown I just couldn't resist she looked so happy and exited so of course we moved all the way from Houston,tx to Beacon Fall. My dad had family here so he agreed so I'm going to see my cousin I haven't seen her in years.

So today I will meet up with my cousin in high school yes I started high school but now I'm going to a new school where everyone already has there group of friends which means I will be alone at least I have my cousin and I won't sit alone at lunch. I stood up from my bed and checked the clock only 20 minutes till school I better hurry up. I choose my outfit the day before so I don't have to be choosing outfits.

I put on a white crop top with the words 'killin' it' inside a rectangle some high waisted ripped shorts and a black and white flannel I left my natural black hair how it was,straight. I put on a charm bracelet that my dad gave me for my birthday last year. It had a special meaning my dad said that it was passed from generation to generation from all the girls in the family it had a charm with the letter G from my name Grace my father said all the girls in our family were name with the letter G like my grandma her name is Georgie my aunts name was Germione pronounce Her-mone.

   I put it on and got my makeup bag. I filled my eyebrows put on mascara concealer and a light pink lipgloss. I looked at my self for a minute and headed downstairs I saw my mother making pancakes and my brother in the table in his phone probably texting his girlfriend well are they even dating I mean no-offense but we all know long distances never work. My mom looked at me and smiled

"Good morning sweetie how did you sleep?"she asked

"Um good I guess"I said

"Are you nervous for today?"she asked me

"Yes kinda I don't know"I sighted as I sat at the table using my right palm as support to my head

"Aw sweetie don't be sad tell me what can I do to make you happy?"she asked me

"Move back to Houston"I said exited with a smile

"No"I frowned and groaned

"Sweetie you have to understand we moved here not only because we wanted to but because we had to"she said

"Why?"I asked her

"Well that is me to know and you to not now Dylan will drive you to school and you'll meet up with your cousin Willow"she said

"Uh I already hate this now I have to make new friends"I said

"Are you kidding me this is going to be hard for me I have to tryout for lacrosse make the team make new friends and not be with my girlfriend"Dylan said

"Are you kidding me it's harder for me I have to make new friends not to mention I'm shy and not confident as you"I said

"Kids stop fighing now go before y'all are late"she said

"Adios"she said oh did I forgot to mention we are Mexican well we got that from mom, dad is from here but he speaks Spanish too

"Adios" I said and my mom kissed Dylan and I on our checks we left and sat at Dylan's car.

Dylan pulled up to 'our school' I felt my butterfly's as they were exploding here goes nothing. Dylan parked in front of our school and I just sat there with my backpack in my back staring as the students went by.

"Ok I'll give you 10 seconds"Dylan said I knew Exactly what he meant

I quickly got out of the car and walked fast to the door I mentally sighted to be honest I'm scared. I saw that the teachers were standing greeting the students that pass by. I headed to the gym because I see all the girls walking there so I followed I had my schedule in my backpack. As I entered I looked around for my cousin so I can sit by her I didn't see her anywhere so I took out my phone and texted her

Grace-Where are you?

Willow-I see you I'm coming

I looked around and I saw her heading towards me she squealed and hugged me I awkwardly hugged her back I don't really 'do' hugs

"Omg I haven't seen you in forever"she said perky yep this is her nothing has changed

"Me too"I said

"Come on let me see your schedule"she said as we sat down I gave her my schedule and she checked it nodding

First period~science
Second period~chemistry
Third period~math
Fourth period~history
Fifth period~language arts
Sixth period~english
Seventh period~choir
Eight period~art
Ninth period~athletics 9th grade

"I feel bad for you, you have athletics that means you going to be sweaty when you go to the bus"she said I mentally gagged great

"Can you take me to my class because I don't want to get lost"I asked her

"Sure anyways we have first and third period together"she said I nodded and then the bell rang I stood up and walked as Willow walked by me she took me to class and we sat down we could sit wherever we want Willow sat next to me. I saw kids coming and sitting down and hugging there friends of course I come here in the middle of the year when school almost ends when everyone has their group of friends this is going to be harder than I though.

The teacher enter the class room closing the door

"Ok kids welcome back just because it's the middle of the year doesn't mean y'all can talk whenever y'all want"she said and sat at her computer and called named

"Tony" "here"

"Grace"she said "here"

Everyone's attention was to me of course who doesn't stare at a new student

"Aww new student don't worry you will have a great year and class right kids"she asked

"Yeah"everyone said I was just blushing everyone just started talk again some gossiping and pointed at me I started to feel self-conscious of course they are talking about me it's probably my fave of course I'm ugly and fat whatever.

"Ok class so today.."and I dozed off
