The bell rang for the end of class. Too bad. I nearly finished the book too. I had finished the essay in the first five minutes, but then had to sit for 10 more minutes to seem like I was normal. Even then Mr. Mason asked me if I wanted to add anything else.

I packed up and was walking out the door when this gangly haired kid with a face load of pimples approached me.

"Hey you're Isabella right? I'm Eric. What's your next class, maybe I could show you there?" He asked as if he was asking me out.

"Just Bella, please. My next class is Trig, but I know where to go. Thanks anyways though." I said. I most definitely did not want him walking me ANYWHERE.

I walked off, thankfully not approached by anymore pimply people.

"Where is your slip Ms. Swan?" Mr. Varner looked at me irritatedly. Good Angel, an arrogant teacher.

"Mrs. Cope forgot to give them to me, so Mr. Mason signed on a piece of paper and told me to take it with me all day. I'm very sorry." I said, acting chastised. I wish I could throttle the white hair off of his head.

He humphed and signed the damn paper. "You may sit in the second row in the middle column." He said.

SECOND ROW?!?!! I AM NOT A TROUBLE KID!!

I controlled my expression with difficulty and gave him a fake smile. I plopped down on the seat angrily. Luck was SOOO not on my side as a blond haired girl sat next to me, excited. Angel save me.

"Hi, you must be Isabella. Can I call you Iz? Or how about Izzy? Isa? My name's Jessica. Oh I hope we have more classes together, give me your schedule." She said. Oh Raziel, Ithuriel, and Peniel, she had a high pitched voice. Good Angel, I'm not going to last an hour with this girl. And it didn't help she wanted to call me Iz, Izzy, or Isa. Iz was Rj's name for me, Izzy was Aunt Izzy, I don't need to share a nickname too. And Isa was Daddy's name. So no, it's none of those.

I opened my mouth to say Bella, but she cut me off.

"Oh my God! Yay! We have Spanish together. And lunch. Ugh, I wish I had more classes with you. We're going to be such great friends Iz. Maybe I can convince Mrs. Cope to move me into some of your classes. I bet you're going to need the help adjusting. Ooh, you could come over today and we could-" I cut her off.

Oh ew she called me Iz. If I didn't have such a good control over my body, I'd shudder like there's no tomorrow. And sooo not going over to her place. I got work to do. The sooner I find there's no vamps, the sooner I can leave.

"It's Bella. And I'm busy today. Gotta unpack." I lied smoothly, giving her a beaming smile I sooo didn't feel. Unpack, my wings. Or my *ss? No no my wings is better. Maybe I can go flying sometime. Oooh yes, a flight over Forks to get an overview. Yesss, tonight is good.

"Oh that's a bummer. Maybe some other time, hmm?" She didn't look so disappointed. Oh Angel, a faker. And how about never?

"Ya-" The bell cut me off. Thank the sweet Angel. I don't want to talk to this girl anymore.

"If you two are done talking in my class, Ms. Swan, perhaps I can start my lesson, hmm? Catching up in your own time, not mine." Mr. Varner snapped at me. I hate this man already.

I wasn't talking in "his time" anyways. And he can't say two and only take my name, that's not fair.

I resisted the urge to mutter under my breath. I took out my notebook and pencil case, thankful that I had already gotten the stele out of it, Jessica was bound to ask and Mr. Varner would demand it if I tried to sneak it.
