Dad threw his Seraph blade so it went through Mr. G's neck and cut his head off. I was quite useless to Dad. Dad picked up the blade he had thrown and used it to chop the limbs off as he had seen Rj do. And then he went to a corner where another blade lay.

I turned to Aunt Izzy. She was fighting Twin Girl. Twin Girl wasn't that good at fighting at all. Twin Girl's arms lay haphazardly on the cobbled stone floor behind Aunt Izzy. She had backed Twin Girl to a wall. Aunt Izzy made a move to cut Twin Girl's head off with her hairpin daggers that I had too. But before she could, she suddenly fell to the floor without a sound.

I stared at Aunt Izzy for a moment, shocked. Then, my eyes snapped up at Twin Girl. She looked smug, but she gave a thankful look to...Twin Boy? I looked behind me and saw that Mom, Jem, and Rj were all on the floor, in varied forms and places, depending upon where they were when they fell. Only Dad and I remained standing.

Twin Boy and Twin Girl noticed this at the same time. Twin looks of anger and concentration came on the faces. Twin Boy looked at Dad, and Twin Girl stared at me. But nothing happened.

I looked to Dad, and we exchanged glances. And we both were furious. What did they do to Mom and Aunt Izzy and Rj and Jem? Nobody dared touch our family, nobody could dare touch the Herondales, how dare they try to harm us.

I looked back at Twin Girl, and fixed her with my stare. Her expression changed from shocked and furious to fear. I stalked towards her. I was angry, so angry I could feel my body trembling. But no, I wouldn't burn her. She didn't deserve such easy death, and later I thought that it was a good idea I hadn't burned her in presence of my daddy. But I wasn't thinking of that at this moment. Right now, I was thinking of how much I wanted to harm this little kid who had the guts to try to harm my family.

She walked backwards, fearful.

'Oh little kid, walking backwards ain't gonna help you now.' I was sure there was a cold smile on my face, because she seemed to almost pee her pants, except they didn't become wet. She was once again backed to a wall. I slowly wrapped my whip back onto my arm. Twin Girl noticed that and seemed relieved.

'Oh little girl, I'm not letting you go so easily.' I took out my katana. Twin Girl's expression became a mix of disbelief and confidence.

"That's not going to work. No weapons can harm me." So she spoke. And I never wanted her to speak again. Her voice reminded me of a disgusting cheerleader from mundane school. Her voice was high pitched.

I sneered at her. No, I wouldn't speak to this vile bitch. Besides, this katana had an adamas blade. Of course I would harm her.

She tried to run past me, but I stuck my katana out at the last minute. Her head bounced slightly on the floor. The katana was covered in a transparent liquid. I made a face at it. I wiped the blade on her red and black cloak. I suddenly realized that all the vamps wore this cloak. Red and black.

I turned. Dad had already beheaded Twin Boy. He was currently helping Mom up. Aunt Izzy made a noise behind me. I turned and quickly hurried to her. She seemed annoyed, but fine. I helped her up. She looked around, and saw Twin Girl. Aunt Izzy stalked over to Twin Girl and kicked her. And then proceeded to cut her up in tiny pieces. I turned away and hurried to Rj. I knelt next to him.

"Are you okay? Any side effects?" I asked him in a rush. He blinked up at me.

"No. Nothing." But he said this in an odd tone.

"Rj, what's wrong?" I asked him. He just shook his head. He reached over and pulled me to him. I hugged him back.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Mom and Dad kissing. I let them be. But Aunt Izzy didn't.
