"Or else what boy?" He asked, letting his hand, which was holding the bottle, drop down.
"Go mom." I told her.
"No, your mother stays. It's time she learned not to tell me what to do." He lifted the bottle over his head again and made his way closer to her.
"Don't ever tell me that I have had enough alcohol." He snapped at her.
"No!" I screamed as he was about to take a swing at her. I leaped to the spot and smacked the bottle out of his hand and it cracked onto the kitchen tile. I stepped in front of my mother and gritted my teeth at my father.
(A/N I picture Shawn looking like a little puppy while he is gritting his teeth 😍😂)
"You idiot!" He screamed.
"Mom get out!" I screamed.
My father picked me up by the hem of my sweater and pushed me up against the wall. My feet were placed on the ground and his hand was placed on my neck.
"Do you have any idea what you have just done? You just cracked one of the tiles."
"I cracked it?! You almost cracked my mother's skull! She's your wife! How could you-"
He slammed me into the wall again.
"Did I ask? Did I tell you to speak?"
(A/N Savage Manny. Anyways, back to the story :)
"Manny enough." My mom trembled.
"Shut up woman!"
"You are such an asshole!" I screamed at him. (A/N As Whole 😏) My parents looked at me, shocked by my choice of words. I pushed him off of me and stood in front of my mother once again.
"What?" My father hissed.
"You heard me! You are an asshole!"
"I'm your father."
"Since when have you acted like a father?!"
"Shawn that's enough-" I cut my mother off.
"No mom! It's true! He is a sick and twisted man that doesn't think about anyone but himself! He's a drunk! Aaliyah doesn't need you! Mom doesn't need you! And most of all Manny, I don't need you." I spat.
"Shawn, we do need him." My mother said.
"How can you say that?! He was just about to kill you a minute ago! Now you want to stay with him? You are just as sick as him!" Tears were now streaming down my face, as well as my mother's. My father -I mean Manny- stood there clueless.
"I've had enough of this shit! I'm out!" I screamed. I ran upstairs and started to pack my essentials. I ended up with my backpack, guitar case with my guitar in it, a large duffel bag, and a carry on suitcase. I sighed looking around my room.
A framed picture caught my eye. It was a picture of Aaliyah, my parents and I.
//Flashback
We laughed at one of the pictures that we took. I wasn't ready and it looked like I was about to sneeze.
"Mom d-don't buy that picture, please. Hahahaha." I said, still laughing. My face was priceless.
"I won't, it's just that you looks so funny!" We all laughed again.
We bought a few pictures and left the professional photography place.
End of Flashback//
I shoved the framed picture into my backpack and walked downstairs. I saw my parents still standing in the kitchen, in the same positions they were when I spoke my mind.
"For fifteen years of my life, you both raised me well. You both raised me with care, discipline and love. Last year, I don't know what caused you guys to be like this, but everything went down hill. That's why I did everything I did! I was getting bullied for two years! Yeah the first year wasn't bad, but the second year made me question everything about myself! All of the things both of you did piled up on my problems! That's why I'm leaving. I seriously can't take it anymore."
I walked up to both of them.
"Mom, I hope that you realize everything go on, and how messed up it is. Maybe one day, when everything is okay, I'll come back. For now, I'll probably stay with Avo, or maybe one of my friends. I don't know yet. I-I love you mom." She engulfed me into a hug, I didn't hug back tho. I walked up to my father.
"And you? If you decide to change and put your family before yourself, then I'll consider calling you my father. Treat my mother well. Don't hurt her, don't leave her and don't do anything stupid." I spat.
And with that, I left.
