‘Stupefy.’ I caused the woman to fall back again.

Owen had run off, he was battling together with Charlie against two huge guys now.

‘Imedimenta.’ I flicked my wand at the Death Eater in front of me.

He easily blocked it and shot a spell at me. I ducked and tried to hit him. He blocked my spell and stroke again. We went on like that for quite a while, until I felt someone jump on me from behind.

‘Hello there, darling.’ the woman shrieked. ‘I’m coming to get my possessions.’

‘Turtora!’ I yelled, pointing over my shoulder.

The woman fell off of me, shrieking. ‘Get those things off of me!’ She was covered with spiders, all squirming around.

‘Stupefy!’ I yelled at the man, who was trying to help the woman. ‘Stupefy! Impedimenta!’

He blocked them all and made the spiders disappear as well. ‘You’ve got to get up with something better than that to get to me.’ he sneered. ‘Crucio!’

I jumped aside and hit a tree. My head started throbbing, but I ignored it and kept on fighting.

‘Cumbo!’ I yelled, hiding behind the three.

‘Fuck!’ the man screamed. He had tried to block my spell, but it wasn’t directed at him, but at the grass. The roots of the trees came out of the ground, winding around his legs.

‘Expelliarmus!’ I caught his wand easily and smiled. I had already robbed two Death Eaters off their wands.

The next moment, I was pressed with my face down in the grass, unable to move. Crap, I was hit by petrificus totalus! I tried to do a spell, but I couldn’t.

‘Ennervate!’ Fleur yelled behind me.

I jumped up. ‘Thanks! Stupefy!’

Fleur’s pursuer fell down. ‘Thanks!’ she yelled back.

Suddenly, Fleur and I were driven towards the side of the lake by three hooded Death Eaters. She protected us both by using a protego spell. ‘All right, zees is ze plan... I say “now” and we both cast as many spells as possible, all right?’

‘Right.’ I agreed.

‘One, two... NOW!’

‘Impedimenta! Stupefy! Cumbo! Confundo! Petrificus totalis!’ I kept on screaming all the spells I knew, but most missed their target.

One of the Death Eaters actually fell down and got wounded by robes, after which he flew up in the ear and hit a three. Fleur and I smiled at each other, and then both ran off in a different direction. Spells were sent after us, but we ran as fast as we could and jumped behind two huge trees. She took off to help Bill, while I climbed into my tree. No one had seen me do it, so I could sit town at the top of the tree. I wasn’t fleeing, I was taking in a good position to fire my spells.

Suddenly, I heard a terrible scream underneath me. Owen was laying in the grass, obviously in pain. He was whimpering and shrieking, a tall wizard towering over him, holding his wand. A rush of anger pushed through my veins and made my vision blurry. No one was allowed to that to anyone, and especially not to Owen. I would make that bastard pay.

‘CRUCIO!’ I shrieked, jumping out of the tree.

The Death Eater hit the ground with a dull thud and started whimpering and yelling. ‘Don’t. Ever. Do. That. Again.’ I said coldly to the man.

‘Marie!’ Owen stood next to me, panting. ‘Don’t!’

‘But he hurt you!’ I yelled, furious.
