"Grayson, the sacrifice is not worth it."

"Damian, we don't have time to argue.  We have to hit them before they are alerted of the suit being stolen," Dick responded.  "And who knows?  Maybe I'll make it out alive."

"Yeah, Littlewing, it's not set in stone that Dick will die if we infiltrate them with this plan," Jason said optimistically.

"No, but it is highly probable," Damian argued.

"Damian, how many situations have there been where it looked like we were going to die, but we made it out okay?"

"Countless."

"Exactly.  Damian, this is just one of them.  We've done it before and we can do it again.  If we all do our part in this plan, and not worry about each other, than we have what we need accomplished," Jason said in a reassuring tone.

"Thank you for the reassurance, Todd.  I will be in the armored car," Damian said, ambling his way to wait in the armored car.

Dick was about to follow his brother to the armored car, when Jason stuck his hand in front of him.

"Dick.  You are going to be okay, right?" Jason asked.

"Yeah, of course," Dick said, giving one of his patented warm smiles.

"I just wanted for you to know...if you...if we...just remember, Dick-"

"I know, Jason.  I know."

They stood together, eye-to-eye.  Jason placed his hand over Dick's shoulder, the movement speaking for him.  He wished he could phrase the emotions he was feeling for Dick to understand, but he had never been good with words.

The two men standing together were many things; vigilantes, heroes, criminals.  A police officer, friends,  and once upon a time, a killer.  But right now, they were just brothers.

"Are we going to do this or not?"  Damian hollered from the shotgun seat.  "Come on!"

Jason squared his shoulders and dropped his hand.  "Let's go."

Dick nodded, forcing a smile.  "Let's do it!"

At the abandoned LexCorp facility...

"Okay, you two wait here.  I'll stir some trouble and once you get my message to move in, you do so," Dick recapped.

"Understood."

"Uh-huh."

"I'm going to survey this place a couple of times, so don't expect to see any fireworks soon," Dick added, driving off to circle the facility.

As soon as they got off, Jason and Damian quickly went to hide behind an enormous LexCorp sign, blocking the Assassins' view of them.  About a minute later, they saw the return of the armored car.

"Well, I'm going in," Dick announced.  "Wish me luck!"

"Good luck," Jason said blankly, watching the vehicle enter through the gate and into the complex.

Damian nodded at Dick as he left, feeling a hard knot in his chest.  God help him, Damian thought desperately, watching the Assassins' reaction to their trespasser.

Rat-atak-tak!

"Do these guys realize that they're bullets have no affect on an armored vehicle?"

"I don't know, but I think you ticked enough of them off, Dick.  You better get out of their before they get the grenades out," Jason warned.

"Right, right," Dick said, putting the car in reverse and backing out of the complex.  "I can buy you guys fifteen minutes."
