Your Demise

"But...but how can this be true?  We saw the nuke that was heading for the Clock tower.  There was no chance you could have survived it," Dick stated.

"Well, lucky I wasn't at the Clock tower then," Barbara said, forcing a laugh.

"Where were you then?"

"I was...I was at your memorial," she answered.

"What?"

"At the Batcave, we added a statue for your remembrance.  For all of you actually," she added hastily.

"Was I in the front?" Jason asked.

"Todd!"

"No, really.  Was I in the front?  I'm always behind someone because of my height," Jason justified.

"Yes, Jason, you were in the front, happy?"

"Loads," Jason said lazily.

His brothers saw through his tone, and knew he was ecstatic.

"Anyways, I was at your memorial.  I came back, to the Clock tower to assist the Birds on a mission, and found the place destroyed.  But how did you survive the attack at the hotel?"

"Let me give you the abridged version of the shit we've been through.  We fight our way to our bikes and follow an escape plan Damian whipped up.  We live on the streets for a day or two, before we are kidnapped by the Assassins.  Ra's interrogates us for a bit, and we use these special supplements to save us from Anthrax."

"They were fluoroquinolones capsules, for you information," Damian interrupted irritated.

"Whatever.  Damian and I escaped the place where we were being held, but Dick stays long enough to plant a bug, and liberate our bikes.  Then, we find a place where we can stay.  After that, we interrogate an Assassin that Dick had captured prior.  The Assassin kills himself, and we dispose of the body because of a tracking device that was implanted on him.  We then steal an armored car, protected by mercenaries, and take the armored car to the construction site.  We find out the armored car was carrying the stolen WayneTech, and the tech turns out to be a prototype Batsuit.  Dick thinks of a way we can sneak into the Assassins' HQ.  Dick distracts the Assassins while Damian and I sneak in.  After a transmission with Dick, we believe he's dead, but we manage to to finish the download.  Escape the Assassins' place, but are chased by a group of mercenaries.  After interrogating one, back at the construction site, we find out the nature of the League of Assassins relationship with the mercenaries, who happen to be the same ones holding the prototype Batsuit.  We also learn where the mercenaries set-up shop.  We drop off the mercenary, and make our way to the mercenaries' HQ.  After a scuffle with them, we manage to subdue almost all of them."

"What happened to the ones that escaped?" Barbara asked.

"I told him to tell his mercenary buddies to get out of Cairo.  Hopefully, they took my advice.  The last thing we need to deal with is a group of mercenaries and the League of Assassins," Jason stated.

"Todd, I don't know how to say this, but we have been.  When we obtained the prototype Batsuit, we had to fight them for it, and we did raid their compound," Damian reminded.

"Ah, irrelevant," Jason said, waving his brother's statement away.  "We then heard Dick's voice on our com-link saying to bring the thing we stole from their HQ, and meet them with it at Kids Park.  Damian and I took all of the things we had to Kids Park, not sure what exactly they wanted.  Damian finds out that the flash drive we stole was carrying extortion data.  It was being used to convince people in high powered positions to turn a blind eye to the obvious signs of bacteria in Daggett Industries' products.  After dropping a flashbang, we bought enough time to situate ourselves onto our bikes.  After detonating the C-4 I planted onto the Assassins' vans, we escape back to the construction site.  There's a whole thing about the GIS, too, but I'm sure you can hack their electronic file on the League of Assassins.  Damian thinks up a plan of how we can communicate with you: activating an override code.  So, we do so, and, well, you know the rest," Jason concluded.
