Jesslyn's POV.
I wake up gasping to a whole lot of liquid being poured onto my face. I rub my eyes, seeing Rae standing over me, looking at me with a glint of victory. Wait, what?
"See, I told you, she'd wake up if you poured water over her. Ha!" She chimes. Where am I? Wait, how did I end up lying on ... Rae's bed?
I quickly sit upright and swing my legs over onto the floor, to get off the bed. But my legs felt weak, and I end up nearly collapsing onto the floor if it wasn't for someone who quickly caught me; Luke.
"Whoa. Slow down Jesslyn." Luke whispers into my ear, his warm breath against my ear as he places me back onto the bed. I mumble a thank you, my head hurting a tad bit. Luke looks up to a smirking Rae.
"She would have woken up even if you just left her. You have to lie a person down if they faint, and the blood will slowly start going to the brain again. And besides, she woke up already, she just fell asleep" Luke says, making Rae roll her eyes. Did I already wake up? Gosh, I don't remember.
"Yeah, but this it was more entertaining this way." She says, and Luke stifles back a smile. "I'll go out to get some paracetamol. We've run out." She says, before grabbing her keys and walking out.
"How long was I out?" I ask Luke softly. God, he is so good looking. He hands me a couple of tissues, which I dry my face with.
"About ten minutes. You woke up, and then you fell asleep for about an hour and a half. Only Rae didn't believe me, so you know, she poured water on you." He says and I finally notice he looks pretty tired. I shuffle over, patting the space next to me, asking him if he wanted to lie down.
"Never thought you'd ask!" Luke says smiling. That smile makes me melt. He grabs a blanket from the chair next to the bed and places it on top of me before he slides in under. We both turn to face each other, and end up closer than expected, making me blush.
"God you scared me Jesslyn." He whispers, sending my heart into overdrive.
"I'm sorry. I've just been so stressed lately, and home sick and people have been pissing me off, which doesn't really help..." I whisper, closing my eyes.
"Does my brother have anything to do with people pissing you off?" He softly asks me.
"No. I mean... I guess. But isn't just him. I'm just so homesick. I haven't been away from my family for this long. Except for my cousin, Luke. He's not always around, in fact, sometimes he's away for months. But god, I just miss him, and my parents, and my best friend, Ester" I whisper, tears welling up in my eyes. I feel like such a baby right now.
"Hey, hey. Don't worry about it. I'll talk to my dad, see if you could get a few days off to see them again." He whispers, wiping away a tear that slid down my cheek with his thumb.
"You really are something special." I whisper, faintly smiling.
"You don't deserve to cry. You're too beautiful to do so." He whispers, his face forehead touching mine, making butterflies fly around in my stomach. Actually, more like the whole zoo was let out.
"I'm honestly so tempted to kiss you." His suddenly husky voice says, making my breath hitch. Holy moly, am I hallucinating?
"Then go ahead, I won't sto-" I get cut off by Jackson loud voice. That annoying prick, he just had to ruin the moment, didn't he?
"BABY GIRL? WHER- Whoa, what do we have here?" Jackson asks, smirking, looking back at another guy. Hmm, it must be Hunter.
Oh my god, I want to go die; Jackson is going to be teasing me for the whole next week about this. I hesitantly move back, blushing like a mad tomato. Luke groans quietly, flopping back onto his back.
