"Here's your pills!" I announced, handing them to Jon. He took a long swig of water before popping them in. He leaned his head back, swallowing after a moment. He crinkled his nose, and took another long drink of water.
I screwed the lid back onto the bottle, before collapsing best to Jon. The bed bounced a bit with my sudden added weight, but to quickly settled, and I curled my body around Jon, making sure to avoid his broken leg and his ribs."Have you seen what they've been saying yet?" I asked, and Jon shook his head, his hair tickling my skin as it brushed against it.
"I don't wanna look. Just in case." He blushed, and I intertwined my fingers with his.
"I doubt it's anything bad. And even if it is, it's not about them. It's just you," I paused, catching his eye before continuing, "and me. No one else." I smiled, kissing him gently, pulling back slowly. "And I love you. That's what matters."
Jon smiled, his cheeks dusted with a soft pink."I love you too, Thomas," he mumbled, burying his face into my chest, beginning to fall asleep. I beamed down at him, and began to sing softly, the words to our song coming to me as natural as breathing.
