"I'm so excited!" Jon chirped, and I beamed at him, kissing his nose.
"I'm glad! I'm excited to get back on stage, and I'm excited for you to see it."
Jon nodded enthusiastically, his smile blinding."You're gonna be amazing, and the show is gonna be amazing, and Ultimate Storytime even just sounds amazing!" I laughed at his exuberance, waving to some fans as we passed by.
The Vegas show had been rescheduled for tonight, and I was more than ready for it. Tonight was going to be a big show, and I was so glad Jon was here to see it.
I was even more glad, however, that things all worked out. If things had gone worse, I honestly don't think I'd ever be able to perform again, not without Jon to cheer me on, whether it was his pre-show Skype pep talks, or, in this case, watching from the audience."So I managed to get some nice front-row seating for you, and you'll have a perfect view of the stage, and no one to block it!"
Jon blushed, looking up at me fondly."You're too good to me," he told me, and I just shook my head, leaning down to kiss him.
"Nonsense. You deserve the world, but since I can't give you that, I'll just have to make do with what I can."
He blushed more deeply, and I turned as Jay called my name. I waved to acknowledge them, grinning, before kissing Jon once more. For good luck, of course.
"Hey, break a leg!" Jon yelled, and I couldn't help but snort at the irony of it, and he laughed too, before wheeling away to his seat.
I watched after him fondly, before turning to go back stage, my heart pounding just a bit more than usual.
I gently touched my pocket, biting my lip as my smile grew.
