I'm finally awake and I have no messages from Ethan. I decide to see if Nate is awake.
"Nate?!" I yell.
I start checking around the apartment and he is nowhere to be found. I whip out my phone and call Nate--
Call
"Hello??" Nate spoke into the phone
"Where the heck are you? I just woke up and you where gone.. I have something to ask you"
"I'm at my girlfriends house, I'm gonna be home in like 2 hours and what do you mean you have to ask me something??"
"Um, has Ethan talked to you at all today?" I say hesitantly.
"Uh, no and why 'Ethan' , what's going on with Ethan? Is he trying to make you his next-"
"NO-"
"Ariella he's not a nice guy. He's had a lot of girlfriends in his life and I don't wanna see him break your heart. He wants one thing and one thing only."
"I only wanted to go out for ice cream with him.. I can see if Cameron and Grayson can come so you don't think anything is going on"
I don't get a response for a while.
"I'm trusting you, Ariella"
"THANK YOU NATEY!!"
The call ends and I jump to text Ethan.
Ariella: ETHAN!! We can go out tonight!! Nate says it's fine!!
Ethan: okay.. So I'm gonna pick you up in 1 hour,, can't wait:))))
I don't reply after that because I had to hurry, take a shower do my makeup and braid my hair. I threw on a striped tee shirt dress with a pair of White nikes. I looked poppin' asffffff.
I finally revive a text from Ethan telling me to come down to his car. It was him alone. I open up the door and he didn't look nervous at all. I was hardcore blushing. He turns down his radio and looks at me with a cute grin.
"Why are you blushing so much?" He giggles.
"I don't know, hahah" I say and I turn the radio back up.
We arrive at the ice cream place and he opens my door.
"Thank you, E" I smile jumping from his jeep.
"No problem, Garner" he says in teasing tone.
"Shut up 'E-tee-wee-tee' !" I laugh as he began chasing me.
We agreed to truce and we sat down with our ice cream.
I want to ask Ethan about what Nate meant. He said not to trust him but I don't understand why. Ethan seems really nice. I don't wanna be rude and ask that so I just stayed quiet.
"So.. What are you thinking about?" He says getting a little closer to me.
"Nothing.. Just.. Never mind, haha. I just feel so weird cause Nate and I don't wanna ruin your guys's friendship cause of this date-"
"Woah, who said this was a date? I don't wanna be rude but I kinda care more about my friendship with Nate than having a girlfriend or a date that can ruin it all." He said moving a further away from me.
My face began to burn up. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to smash this ice cream in his cute face and run away. I couldn't cause Ethan has a car and I don't.
We finished our cones and we both got in the car. I didn't make eye contact with Ethan at all. I just looked out the window and watched all the big buildings pass by.
"You upset?" Ethan asks.
I shake my head.
"Well.. I don't know what to to say. I can't ruin my friendship with your brother-"
"So that's really all you care about?? Your gonna let Nate tell you what to do?? You could care less about me. You wanted to make it feel like I can be normal for a day. I can't do anything. I can't have friends. No boyfriends. I'm so used to following the rules that I don't know what it's like to be free. You made me feel happy for a little while but.. Ethan You are just like all the other guys. You use me to get closer to my brother." I say rubbing my soaked eyes.
Ethan pulls over. He stared at his wheel. I don't know what to say. He looked so upset.
"I'm sorry. I don't want to make you feel bad in anyway. You are the most prettiest girl I've seen on this planet and I honestly would love to be with you. I just don't want you and your brother to fight. I don't want ruin your relationship with this relationship." He says turning to me with the most serious face.
I look down and he got closer to me.
"Ethan.."
Ethan grabs my chin and pins his lips on mine. He smiles between kisses.
"What?" I whisper as I giggle.
"I just like you a lot" he says rubbing my arm. Continuing to shower my in kisses.
"Ethan," I say pulling away slowly
"Ariella?"
"What are we?" I say. He looks at me and smiles. He plants one big kiss in my forehead
and gives me a tight hug.
"Well.. We are CLOSE friends" he smiles.
