Riley's Got a Plan

Riley's POV

After Maya and Farkle left, Lucas and I stayed and talked. We've been dating for almost a month now but we haven't actually told anyone. We decided that for the time being, we wanted to keep it a secret. We started talking about things we would want to do in the future. He was saying something about opening up his own veterinarian clinic but I couldn't really pay attention. I kept thinking about Maya and her secret. She told me not to tell Farkle but she never said anything about Lucas. Yes, I know I'm a horrible friend yadda yadda yadda yadda. But I was doing this for her own good. "So after vet school I was thinking of-" I cut Lucas off. "MAYA HAS A SECRET!" I yell out. Lucas looks at me confused. "What?" I explain to him what I just said. "Ok so last night after we left Topanga's, Farkle and Maya started talking and Farkle invited Maya back to his place to watch a movie. She spent the night and realised she has feelings for Farkle. Wow, that felt to get out." he looks at me as if he had no idea what I just said. "Hello? Earth to Lucas." I wave my hand in front of his face. He grabbed my hand and started hugging me. "Wow, ok what's this for?" I ask him. "That's great news, not just great, AMAZING!" "Huh?" I was really confused. "Oh let me explain. So when you and Maya were getting the smoothies Farkle told me he has feelings for Maya and there was a dream he was talking about and some other stuff but the most important thing is that he admitted that he likes her." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All I've ever wanted was Maya to be happy, and now she can! "Well, this is awesome all we need now is to have Farkle tell her." "Oh we can't do that, he doesn't want to. Let's just have Maya do it." "That won't work either, Maya's scared to tell him. And when it comes to Maya's feelings there's no telling how long she's going to keep this to herself." "Same with Farkle. I'm surprised he even dated Smackle. So what do we do?" I think. We sit in silence thinking of what we could do. Then I got the greatest idea. "I got it!" I whisper the plan into his ear and right away I can tell he loved the idea. "Riles that's perfect. But won't they get mad at us?" "Yes, but they'll love us in the end. All I need to do is make a quick phone call and text message." I grab my phone and text the first person.

Riley: Hey I need a favor.

Mystery Person: What is it?

Riley: Come to Topanga's tomorrow like around 2:00 I'll tell you then.

Mystery Person: Ok I'll be there.

After that, I turn towards Lucas. "Ok, the first person has been contacted. Now to call the second one." I look through my contacts till I fond their name. I dial the number and it rings three times.

Mystery person 2: Hello

Riley: Hey I need your help.

Mystery Person 2: What is it?

Riley: Do you think you could come to Topanga's tomorrow at 3:00. I'll text you the details later.

Mystery Person 2: Sure I'll be there.

Riley: Great see you tomorrow.

I hang up and I catch Lucas staring with a goofy smile."What?" I ask him. "Oh nothing, it's just that I love you so much." He tells me. "I love you too," I say. We lean in a share a short passionate kiss. "Do you want me to walk you home?" He asks me. "Sure I'd love that." He grabs my hand and we walk out. "Just think by the end of this week our two best friends are going to be together," He says. "Hey, maybe they'll even be together by the time of my Christmas party!" "Maybe. Oh and that reminds me. Riley, will you be my date to your Christmas party?" "Yes! A million times yes!" I tell him. He picks me up and spins me around. After he drops me off at home I run straight to my room to plan both my Christmas party and how I'm going to get Maya and Farkle together. After I finish I turn out the lights and fall asleep. 'I can't wait for tomorrow.' I tell myslef.
