Hey people!
This is the first time I'm posting a work of mine. It's also one of the very few things I've written. I'd love to hear your views on it and I encourage constructive criticism. I hope you like it!
Life - a story
Life is a story,
Write it without regrets.
A pen that you must weild,
In the battle for success.
In this battle, people often forget,
Who they are, what they want,
And line up for the race.
Seldom do they ask, is this what I want?
Is this my objective, should I go on?
But on and on they go,
Fulfilling their so called duties.
Never once pausing to consider,
That the pen of their story ,
Was in their hands.
The hands that now tremble,
As they realize what they've done,
Thinking that their writing was right,
But was wrong all along.
But now it's late, it's far too late.
The time has come and gone,
And there's no choice but to carry on,
As the opportunity stood on your door for far too long.
So on and on a life they live,
That looking back upon they regret.
And at last do they realize that,
The pen was theirs',
To weild and write
The story of their life.
Alas they can now only say,
To the generations that come,
'Your life is your story,
Write it without regrets.
Weild it in such a way,
That boons you with success.
Take advantage of the opportunities that come by,
For come by and go they must.
Write it so, that on reading it you smile,
It is your story, write your heart out
This is my blessing to you,
This is my advice.'
