Hey people!
So, the book reached 200 reads! 2 centuries! I can't believe it! I really appreciate it guys.
This poem of mine is for all those times when we wish we could take control of our lives. Treat it like a movie and rewind, pause, edit and forward it. All of us surly have felt like this at least once in our lives.
Read, suggest, enjoy!

The remote to my life

I wish there was a remote,
One that could control everything,
My life would finally be in my hands,
To edit, change and view as I please.

The remote would be able to stop time,
Rewind the movie back to the past,
And bring back the lost things,
That were once mine.

The remote would be able to forward the scenes,
Bring me from the cruel present to the lavish future,
Where my pain would have already paid,
And the only thing left is to enjoy the praise.

The remote would be able to edit the nasty scenes,
The ones that people don't bother to see,
Where the cuts and bruises hurt me deep,
And I am left all alone to stand and weep.

The remote would be able to erase all,
Make it easy to forget the betrayals and falls,
For the ones I trusted have brought the most pain,
And I am left to wonder what they could have possibly gained.

The remote would be able to make my movie perfect,
A dream world where the sun never sets,
A beautiful place with blossoms and greens,
And plainly remove the poisonous weeds.

I wish there was a button,
That could turn off my emotions,
Because for every bit of happiness,
There is a bucketful of sadness.

But even if such a remote exists,
I pray contrary to my wish.
I pray that the remote never gets into my hands,
For what is life without a few cries.

These tears and pain are what make me able,
These scars and regrets are what bring me pride,
At the end of the day,
It's not the view at the mountain top that matters,
It's the climb.
