Chapter 13

Woops didn't post yesterday R.I.P.

-Your POV-

I  take the photos down, being careful they don't rip.

Why didn't Adam tell me he had a twin sister?!

At least, the Adam I know, or used to know.

I point the flashlight to the end of the hallway. Surprisingly, there is no more of the hallway left. I grab the photos and walk back down to the door in which I had entered.

That's when I hear the door knob jiggle.

"Hello?" Adam's voice echos down the hallway.

"Adam? Adam!" I sprint to the door and embrace Adam in a hug.

"I didn't expect you to be down here y/n." Adam says pulling away and smiling.

"And  I didn't expect you to be the one to find me." I say back. He closes the door behind me and leads me to the lounge. Surprisingly, noone's there.

I hadn't actually expected Adam to even acknowledge my existence. He didn't like me at all, that's for sure. He doesn't flirt, and he's a really bad flirter when he talks to Alesa. Bad puns and metaphors filled with love are hilarious.

I wonder how long I had been in the hallway. Yes, I had my phone, but I didn't open it up for a while. So who knows how long I had been standing in the musty hallway.

"Everyone started searching the offices for you. Some thought you went home. Others thought you were taking a dump. I didn't think you would be in the hallway.  No one ever uses it. Anymore." Adam says, thumping down on the short couch. The XBox had been hooked up while I was gone, most likely for a video.

"Adam, do you have any siblings?" I say, slurring the words together. He had stood up when I asked, and now he was back down on the sofa, slumped. (A/n ok i can't remember if Adam has a sibling irl but i'll change it up you'll see)

"I-Uh," He says covering his face in his hands, "I ye-no! I don't have any siblings! Forever an only child!" He says uncovering his face and smiling smally.

Even though I knew Adam had a sibling, I still wanted to ask to see his reaction. So far he is lying.

"Ok then. I just was curious." I say opening the pizza box.

Fudge they ate it all.

"Yea we kinda of ate it all. Oh! Did you happen to see Em before in the hallway?" Adam says his chin now resting in his hands.

That was the point of me going to the 'bathroom', to find Em. I didn't find her but I found a hallway that lead me to be locked in it for who-knows-how-long and to have Adam find me.

And he expects me to know.

-Em's POV-

The breeze off the lake sends a chill down my spine, again. No one has seemed to realize that when I want alone time, I go out on the deck.

Everyone knows where it is but to dumb to realize that I always go out there. After I saw y/n go down into the library, I went to the bathroom to see what would happen. I could the door lock. I could see the light from her phone underneath the door. But I didn't have a key. Actually, no one does. Because there is no lock. There is no freaking lock yet it still locks.

Someone does. Someone has a key. Locking whoever goes down that hallway.

I saw Adam open the door. He was almost confused, almost scared that something would jump out of the hallway. Then the door opened. The door opened. As if no one even locked it.

Wtf is wrong with this place

Mk murder me for not posting gah. But I wont be able to post on here for roughly a week because I have theater every night now from 6-11pm each night. Plus performance is 23-25 of September. Pleasepleaseplease don't hate mehhhhhhhhh.

Also, in the last chapter, remember Em visiting Sky and Laina and them? Ok so after that, she left and headed to the balcony. That's where she is at the end of this chapter. But you (the character) don't know that. But quite a bit of time passed when you went down the hallway and were gone. So while everyone was searching for you, Em went to the balcony. And no one knew that she went onto the balcony. That's why they asked if you knew where she was. Just some confusion that I happened to boil up :/ ~Kiki
