Naruto walked the entire way up to his apartment after his run in with the "honorable grandson" what a kid, he thought.
Their departure from each other was nothing short but dramatic but completely one-sided.
The little apartment was very cozy, and it was the only place where he could call his. The little apartment was his savior in a sense; his life hadn't been easy every birthday he had had been prone to disaster - the villagers shunned him whenever he went out or tried to make friends - he never understood their predacious attitudes towards himself. It meant a lot that something, no matter how small, belonged to him and only him.
Entering his small apartment he plopped himself down on his bed and closed his eyes. Concentrating and entering his inner world to converse with the fox within.
"Kit don't be so down. It was long ago."
Naruto heard Kurama automatically say when he opened his eyes to find the fox laying in a field of fresh grass. It was his inner world and it wasn't difficult at all to change the surroundings from the dank, gloominess of the sewer that once caged the nine-tails.
"I know Kurama. But it's going to take a lot to get past every little thing they did. If it wasn't for Iruka-Sensei and the Old man then I probably would hate the village even more than I do now. " Naruto explained.
To be honest with himself - the village didn't deserve his love - when hasn't the village showed him that he didn't exactly belong on the same level that they did?
"Kit. " Kurama tried to console him but he shook off the depressive mood he had entered and switched the conversation on a lighter and happier topic, "Kurama teach me a jutsu. " he said more like demanded of the fox.
Kurama smirked and laughed a deep laugh, "you think you're ready?" Questioning Naruto out of spite but much to his shock Naruto waited patiently.
Completely oblivious to the sarcasm of the nine-tails, only lifting a single brow in answer, "alright kit. I'll teach you a jutsu your father created and was even known for."
For the rest of the remainder of the day Naruto stayed within his mind training with Kurama on his first jutsu that he would hold close to him.
The next day, Naruto woke up early as usual and did his morning routine and was out the door in record time.
The sun was just peaking through the clouds for the day - leaping off his balcony and landing on the closest building. Repeating the action until he was at the gates of the Academy.
After last night of training with Kurama he had made up his mind, maybe it was from the adrenaline or something but his mind was set on the one thought, he would graduate within a year.
The end till next time...
