First night in...

Author's Note: Yay I'm updating again!!! I promise I won't be long between updates from now on. I'm really committed on finishing this. I know it's short right now but I promise next time it will be longer. Just wanted to get this out for now. Please tell me what you thought in a comment - thanks. You got to be kidding?! Was Naruto's first thought when he had been unceremoniously pushed to his death.

Everyone (well him and two others who had foolishly decided to join ANBU) fell into darkness.

Kit use your Chakra - push it to your eyes. With Kurama's helpful advice Naruto pushed his chakra to his eyes just in time to create a clone - he was getting better at clone work - grabbing onto his clone instructing it to fling him to the other side. He landed on the stone ground evading the spikes of death that were nailed into the ground.

I'm so going to make the old man pay for this. Naruto thought after he had a chance to catch his breathe. He looked to other two and saw that they already landed not to far beside him.
Yeah right. Easy entrance my ass!!

Naruto thought back to when he had accepted the Hokage's proposition of becoming ANBU.
The old man had instructed him that ANBU entrance exams were the next night - so he had Kurama drill him with training until morning rose - it didn't really leave much time for sleep the utter excitement he had left no room for calm.

Sleep was at the bottom of the list of things to do. Yet he actually beat himself up when he yawned when he was standing with two others as the Hokage had met them and two others -ANBU- by the black cloaks and masks they wore. Then the next moment they were falling.

Even remembering how he almost died made him go pale.

"I see you guys survived. At least now we know you all mean to be here. " a rough voice called out in the darkness.

The hall they landed in was lit only by firelight - flickers from the fire had cast many shadows through the dank and eerie hall. Making it hard to discern from where the actual voice came from.

"This is a way to opt out the beginners to the ones who actually want to be here. This is not the academy where everything is easy and happy. Tonight you are joining ANBU - here killing is second nature - as death doesn't frighten us.

ANBU is the first defense for the Hidden Leaf Village and the protectors of our Hokage if we aren't ready to put our  life on the line then we don't deserve to be called an ANBU. " 

A muscled man came out from the shadows - he wore a mask and a black cloak. Naruto could only guess that this man was going to be far worse then the teachers or the villagers even the demon fox that had been contained within him.

He gulped. Just what exactly had he got himself into?
