Chapter 4: The Car Drive

Maddison's POV: 

I woke up remembering what happened yesterday. I felt like crying again but I managed to control it. Today we were travelling to the next city and we all had partners to drive with.

I got my text and opened it. It said I was driving with Jon. As in 'Dean Ambrose' Jon!!! No!! He's gonna torture me again today and I will probably break down again. After that prank with the fish guts, I was scared he might end up killing me. I'm gonna have to endure what he does to me quietly.

Jon's POV: 

I woke up when I heard my phone beep. I got a message saying I was travelling with Maddison. This is gonna be awkward. Maybe I'd get a chance to apologise to her. 

"Morning Jon." said Colby. 

"Morning, who are you travelling with?" I asked. 

"Joe, what about you?" he asked, munching on his toast. 

"Maddison." I said. 

Then he started coughing. I think he was choking. 

"Did you say Maddison??" he asked. 

"Yeah I'm gonna try and apologize to her." I said. 

"You better. You treated her horribly yesterday." he said. 

"I know. I kinda regret it now. I don't think she'll like me now." I said. 

"So you do like her?" he asked. 

"I don't know, I think so." I said.

Maddison's POV: 

I was waiting by the car for Jon. I was waiting and ready for whatever he was gonna do to me. He arrived a few minutes later and we both got in the car. I started it and started driving.

Jon's POV: 

We had been driving for an hour now and we hadn't said a word. Then Maddison's phone started ringing. She answered it and put it on speaker because she was still driving. 

"Hi Mads, are you okay? I heard about the fish guts yesterday. I swear I will personally kill Jon."

She looked at me then answered, 

"I'm fine, I'm kinda used to it anyway. You know how my past has been like."

"I know. Maybe we should have told Jon everything."

What were they gonna tell me?

"Tell him what?" she asked. 

"That you parents used to beat you when you stood up to them about anything or how you brothers... you know...raped you."

😦😦😦😦😦 She was raped by her own brothers!!!!!! Her parents beat her!!!!!

"I think that's enough Nattie." 

"Okay but keep it in mind Mads. We might have to tell him so he doesn't pester you. He needs to know that there's a reason why you're so quiet."

I could see the tears in her eyes. She looked like she was gonna break down. 

"I gotta h.....hang up. I'm driving at the m......moment." 

"Okay bye Mads." 

"Bye." 

Maddison's POV: 

I can't believe Jon just heard all that. Now he won't stop with the insults. I needed to stop somewhere. I was breaking down. 

"I need to stop at a gas station." I said. I stopped and got out of the car and ran to the bathroom. 

Jon's POV: 

Maddison stopped at a gas station and I saw her run to the bathroom with tears running down her face. I didn't know why but I couldn't see her like that. She came back a few minutes later, her eyes slightly red and puffy. 

"Are you okay?" I asked. 

"I'm fine." she said. 

"Are you sure?" I asked, concerned. 

Then she broke down. She put her head on my shoulder as she cried. 

"I wanted to apologize about yesterday." I said. "I know what I did was wrong. It's just that I've had a really bad history with one girl and I vowed to not be involved with any girl so when I saw you yesterday, I kinda got pissed." I said. 

"It's okay." she said. 

"Really??" I asked, shocked. 

"Yeah I'll tell you my past if you tell me yours." she said. 

"Okay." I said. She started driving and I started explaining. 

"A few years ago, I was dating this girl called Renee. We were in a serious relationship and I trusted her with everything. I thought she was the one for me. I was sooo happy being with her. I was so glad I found a girl that accepted me and my flaws. Then one day, I caught her cheating on me. Since then, I've insulted every girl I could find. I just get so pissed when I see people happy because I know I will never have it." I said. 

"Of course you will Jon. You will find a girl who loves you for you if you don't insult them like you did with me. What you did really hurt me and I don't want anyone else to go through all that." she said. 

"I know, it's just when I like someone seriously, I can't express it and I do stupid stuff, to I guess, stay around them." I said. 

"You should express differently to them then." she said. "Take them out, show them you care." 

"I guess you're right." I said. 

If I'm gonna impress her, I'm gonna have to be nice to her, spend time with her. 

Maddison's POV: 

I felt like Jon was actually being nice to me. He told me his entire past like he really trusts me. I really like this side of him. He seems really caring and sweet. Wait, what am I saying? I told Jon about my past. 

"My parents are very different to most parents. They hate me because I'm a girl. I have three older brothers and they adore them. Everyone hates me except for one of my brothers, Max, who is the youngest out of the three. He loves me so much. He tried to help me but couldn't when it came to my parents. My parents would beat me if I stood up to them and when they wouldn't give me food, Max would sneakily give me some when everyone went to bed. As for my other two brothers, as punishment, they....they would rape....me." I started choking up. "Max would try to stop it but he was out numbered when supporting me. So I decided to run away. I said bye to Max and ran away in the middle of the night to achieve my dream of becoming a diva. My parents said that I would never make it because I was a waste of time and I had no talent. When you said what you said yesterday, I got really upset because you reminded me of my parents." I said. 

"I'm really sorry about that." he said. 

"It's fine." I said. 

"Do you think we could be friends?" he asked. 

"Sure." I said.
