Chapter 13: I Promise.....

Jon's POV:

I sat on the chair next to Maddison's bed. I knew that I was to blame for all this. It's been two days and Maddison still hasn't woken up. I haven't left her side since then. I felt horrible and I didn't want to risk leaving my Maddison alone. I had a really bad back ache because I haven't slept on a bed for the last two days. I slept on the chair, my head on the bed. The only time I would leave the chair was if I needed to use the bathroom, which thankfully, was in the same room. I saw Joe and Colby walk into the room. 

"Oh my god. Jon, have you been here the whole time?" asked Joe. 

I wasn't bothered to talk so I just nodded. 

"You look horrible." said Colby. 

Then my stomach started growling really loud. I held onto my stomach to stop it from making any noise. 

"Have you eaten at all?" Colby asked. 

"No, I can't afford to leave Maddison again. The last time I did, she almost killed herself. I don't want the same to happen again." I said. 

"You need to take care of yourself first Jon." said Joe. 

"How else will Maddison get better? She needs you to be strong and healthy for her." said Colby.

"You wouldn't like it if you were the one on the hospital bed and she was starving and tired because of you." said Joe. 

"Fine, I'll go eat." I said. 

"Go to the hotel, have a shower, freshen up a bit, have something to eat and then come back. We'll be right by Maddison's side." said Colby. 

I trusted Joe and Colby and I knew they would look after Maddison for me. 

"Okay." I said, getting up. 

I grabbed my jacket and looked at Maddison. I squeezed her hand and kissed her dry lips before leaving.

Joe's POV: 

It has been an hour since Jon has left and I felt horrible for him. I remembered when Galina was in the hospital. I felt like my whole world had shattered. I know how much Jon cares for Maddison. I honestly never saw Jon act the way he is to Maddison to anyone else. I know he is very serious about this relationship. 

I was sitting with Colby and we were talking about something random when we heard a beeping and saw that Maddison was having difficulty breathing. Our eyes widened and we tried to make Maddison breathe normally but nothing was working. Colby ran to get a doctor and I tried to help Maddison. We couldn't let anything happen to her. Colby and I loved her like a sister and I don't know what would happen to Jon if anything happened. 

I called Jon and waited for him to answer. Maddison needs him.

Jon's POV:

I just finished eating but I couldn't enjoy my food because I was worrying about Maddison. I never felt this worried about something in my life. I heard my phone ring and I went to see who it was. It was Joe so I answered it. 

"Hey Joe, what's up? Is everything okay with Maddison?"

"No, listen, something is wrong with Maddison!!!! She's not breathing right!!! Colby's gone to get a doctor." 

"What????? No, what will I do without her? I.....I love her man. I can't lose her."

"Get to the hospital now. Maddison needs you!!"
