Chapter 19: Confessions and Heartbreak

Maddison's POV:

I walked down the hotel corridor where I met Colby. 

"Hey Colb?" I called out. 

"Yeah?" he said, walking up to me. 

"I just finished talking to Alexis and she said that we should tell Jon. She said that it would be better that he found out from us than from somewhere else." I explained. 

"Okay, I'm just scared I'm gonna die." Colby said. 

"You're not gonna die. I'll make sure that Joe is nearby." I said.

Jon's POV:

Both Maddison and Colby are acting really weird. Even Joe. I know that they're hiding something from me but I don't know what it is. 

I needed to clear my head so I decided to go for a little walk. As I was about to step out of the hotel room door, I heard Maddison talking to Colby. 

"I just finished talking to Alexis and she said that we should tell Jon. She said that it would be better that he found out from us than from somewhere else." Maddison said.

What? What was she talking about?

"Okay, I'm just scared I'm gonna die." Colby said.

"You're not gonna die. I'll make sure that Joe is nearby." Maddison said. 

Why would I kill Colby? This is getting way too confusing. Should I confront them? I think I should. 

"Um....why is Colby gonna die?" I asked, walking towards them. 

They both looked at me with shocked expressions on their faces. Did I scare them or something?

"Um....no reason." Maddison said. 

"Are you sure? You don't just say, 'I'm gonna die' for no reason." I said. 

"I......I was talking about a match." Colby said. 

Now I know something is up. Both Colby and Maddison were lying to me and I didn't like it. 

"Okay, you know what? Just cut the crap and tell me what's going on. I heard what you two were talking about so you might as well tell me." I said. 

Colby and Maddison looked at each other before nodding. 

"Okay." Maddison said. "Let me just get Joe first."

5 Minutes Later.....

Me, Maddison, Colby and Joe were in the hotel room and I was waiting for an answer.

"Well, are you gonna tell me?" I asked. 

All three of them looked nervous. I don't get what they're hiding from me. 

"Umm....well, this morning when you and Joe were asleep, me and Colby ate breakfast together." Maddison said. 

"Yeah?" I said, wanting her to continue. 

"We.....we were washing the dishes and messing about with the soap. I slipped on some and was about to fall down when Colby caught me." Maddison said. 

I didn't like where this story was headed. 

"And?" I said. 

"We.....we.....were......l-leaning in and......we.....we almost kissed but we didn't and that's the most important thing here." Maddison said with tears in her eyes. 

I felt my heart shatter. I wanted to talk but there was a huge lump in my throat and my vision was getting blurry from the tears in my eyes. 

Maddison almost cheated on me??

I saw Colby hide behind Joe. I didn't say anything. I couldn't say anything. I was in shock. 

"Jon?" Maddison said. 

I looked down at my lap, trying not to make eye contact with anyone. 

"Jon?" said Colby and Joe. 

I couldn't stand being in the same room as any of them so I quickly got up and left the room, hearing everyone call my name as I closed the door.
