I really fucked my shoulder in volleyball. Someone cut my arm off.

Its been couple days after I got home and I really started to feel better. I started getting out of bed not wincing and being able to see the same things I loved seeing everyday.

Y/N had stayed over at our place to make sure I was okay. She slept in the same bed as me and she looked extremely tired every single time that we woke up. The bags under her eyes get bigger and bigger every morning.

It's as if she never slept. I couldn't understand why because she always slept and fell asleep quickly, unlike me. It's as if the roles have switched.

"DAN!" I heard Phil yell from the other room. I gently got out of bed, trying not to wake Y/N and I made my way down the hall to the kitchen.

"Yeah?" Phil turned to me and held up a notepad and pen. "You're writing her a note, we're going suit shopping for this event or whatever." Phil put the notepad in my hand and I scribbled down a note saying 'sleep as much as you want and raid the fridge of wanted.'

I included 'I love you' and signed my name nicely and left it on the island in the middle of the kitchen. She would for sure see it there.

"Go get dressed and let's go." Phil clapped his hands and I turned and went to my room to quickly change into some different clothes. Heading out the door and into the slightly cold weather of London.

No matter what day I went out, it was always gloomy here in London. Always raining and continuously cloudy. A depressing look to the beautiful city London is.

I usually never notice the small things but there were children playing in the street across from our building, playing with sidewalk chalk and drawing butterflies and flowers on to the cracked pavement.

I wondered what they would be when they were older. A lawyer? A doctor? A McDonald's server?

Whatever they become. I'd like to know where they end up in life. How they live it and how they continue to have this small fraction of infancy to them. To live freely sometimes and to just make their lives easy when they need a small break.

Phil opened the door to a shop and I walked in, thanking him for holding the door open for me. The heat of the building gave me slight goosebumps at the change of temperature so fast.

Phil dragged me to the counter and asked the lady to help with finding some suits for the event we had to interview at.

The lady walked away and we continued our way down the long hallway until we were met with a room of nice looking suits and a few ladies and a couple men. Obviously there to help out with everything.

"Hello. I'm Dan and this is Phil." I introduce ourselves, shaking everyone's hands.

Their smiles were all completely fake looking and I simply ignored it as I was met with a small team of people who started to take off my clothing and throwing different suits on me.

~~time skipppp~~

"Well Jesus Dan, did you have to get all black?"  Phil giggled as we walked out of the shop with our suits in bags and continued our way down the street for a coffee stop.

Phil dragged me into one of the new Starbucks in this area, the scent of new leather evident in the brand new furniture around the whole room. Small amounts of plastic still on the bottom of the new chairs.

I grabbed a spot while Phil went and ordered our drinks. Knowing that I really want a hot chocolate.

I took a spot near the window, watching the rain fall down it, creating imperfect streaks straight down it. Phil walked back to the table, three drinks in his hand.

"Who's that for?" I pointed at the other drink, probably a hot chocolate that they accidentally made.

"I ordered something for Y/N, I didn't want to leave her out of hot chocolate life." He smiled, looking at me and did a little shimmy before fitting into the space between the table and the chair, tripping slightly.

After we finished our drinks a bit, it started to get cold and it wasn't that good anymore. Not my favourite Starbucks in London.

"You wanna head back home?" I ask, slightly missing Y/N because the whole time me and Phil sat in silence, I couldn't stop thinking of her.

Her beautiful hair and eyes were on my mind like crazy and I couldn't bear to think otherwise of her than how tired she looked. Hopefully taking my advice and sleeping all day.

When we entered the flat, I was met with the sweet smell of cookies being baked. Instantly wanting a glass of milk with the cookies Y/N obviously baked.

"Hello!!" She greeted us in the doorway, wearing one of my black t-shirts and slightly covered in flour. Some in her hair and all over the clothes she was wearing.

As we greeted her, she turned around and pulled a tray out of the oven. Setting it onto the counter for them to cool down.

"Oh god these are so good." Phil mumbled, melted chocolate on the tip of his nose, his mouth full of cookie.

Y/N mumbled a thanks and shut the oven off, putting the dishes into the dishwasher and turned it on.

Y/N leaned in for a kiss as she connected her lips with mine, myself warming with her touch.

After a few seconds, she pulled apart and pecked my lips once more before grabbing my hand and dragging me down the hall and into my room.

I didn't know what she wanted but I simply wasn't in the mood for any of it to be completely honest. It just wasn't today's things on my mind.

When she opened the door, I saw a dim light being emitted by candles throughout the room. The room smelling slightly of rose.

When I looked at my bed, I saw there were some snacking food littering the bed. Crisps, candies and maltesers. There was my laptop, open and emitting a glow against the wall behind.

"What's this?" I simply asked. Not knowing what she wanted but she simply had my attention.

"Netflix." She said, waking to the bed and making herself comfortable in the blankets spread across the bottom. Covering herself and snuggling in.

"You coming or what?" She asked, tilting her head while her hair fell over her other shoulder.

I slowly walked over to the bed and got in beside her. Seeing she had already picked a show we were going to binge watch together.

As she pressed play, the show started and as the front credits rolled in I spoke up.

"And definitely no chilling." I joked, her laugh filling the room as her head fell into my shoulder and we watched the show, episode after episode.
