-you-

"Dan?" I called from the other room, I was trying to put my dress on and i couldn't zip it up all the way because of the awkward reach it was.

He walked in the room and noticed my dilemma, rushing over and gripping the zipper. As his hands grazed over my back, I filled with a tingling sensation as it zipped all the way up.

I turned around and was met with a familiar pair of chocolate brown eyes, smiling with how warm they made me feel inside.

I stood on my tiptoes and leaned into Dan, putting my hands on his shoulders and kissing him lightly as a thanks for doing up my dress. While I pulled away, he looked into my green eyes and smiled, leaning in again and deepening the kiss. His hands snaking around my waist and resting lowly on my hips.

When he pulled away, I felt colder inside. He turned around and left saying a quick 'you're welcome' as he went to go shower and get dressed.

Today we had to go to Mary's funeral. Herb asked if we would talk today at the funeral which we said we would.

I never thought a simple little coffee shop and their owners would have such a big impact on me and my life but it has. It's brought me closer to Dan, to Herb and it just brought me out of my toughest times when I couldn't bear with life.

"Y/N, you ready to go?" Dan called from the front room. I nodded, but then I realised he couldn't hear my nod so I delicately put my heels on, threw my jacket over my arm and grabbed my black bag as I walked to the front room.

Dan looked beautiful. His hair was neater than it usually was, his posture was better and he looked really good in a semi-formal suit.

I smiled as he opened the door as we walked out the lobby and to the cab waiting for us.

Phil had decided to stay home since he was still getting over being sick. He also had a video to film so he thought it was best to just stay home.

During the car ride, it was slightly windy and my hair became a bit tangled from all the wind whipping around the car and into the window the driver had open.

Dan was looking at the small and slightly crumpled piece of paper he had in front of him. All things he wants to mention about Mary and how she was such a big impact on his life.

I myself didn't know what to say, I would think of it a majority of the funeral and when it was Dan's and my turn to speak, we would do so and I would just speak.

The sky was grey the whole way to the funeral home, small amounts of thunder rolling through the clouds. Dan was mouthing the words he had written on the paper and was preparing to speak in front of about two hundred people. The stress obviously getting to him.

The car slowed as we approached the funeral home. Cars outside of the building all resembling a dark shade of blue or black. A pretty depressing scene but it's typical for a funeral.

As Dan opened the door for us, we slid out and paid the driver and walked with the flow of people in black and all similar colours.

I grabbed Dan's hand as we walked in and were met with a picture of Mary, behind the counter and laughing at Herb with his arm wrapped around her. I remembered that day very vividly. Dan looked at me and slightly tugged me towards the front room where we were to be.
