King Arthur

Prologue

King Uther is silently watching a certain woman sitting in the far end. Thoughts running in his head on how to have that woman in his arms.

He smiled. Because from the beginning he like all things that are forbidden. King Uther loves thrill.

Merlin, a magician and King Uther's trusted friend, know the looks on the king's face. He should forbid the king from doing so because the woman, whose name is Igraine, is the wife of the respected Gorlois, Duke of Cornwall.

'I should stop His Majesty. It is immoral to lust someone's wife!'  Merlin thought.

Merlin silently walked past behind the guests in the castle's majestic hall and went straight to King Uther's throne where he sat.

King Uther saw his friend Merlin coming in his way, he nod his head to acknowledge him.

Merlin bowed his head as a respect, King Uther nudged hin to come close.

"Your Majesty, can we talk for a minute?" King Uther smiled knowingly, he knew Merlin caught him staring at the forbidden woman, "It is something very important." Merlin added.

Guests watched the king stood up from his throne with pure interest. They all know that their king is still an unmarried gentleman but with a many women companion. Respected noble ladies made theirselves so beautiful and elegant in hope to catch the king's elusive attention.

"Continue enjoying, my dear guests. Do not bother my disappearance for a while." King Uther said with such authority as he and Merlin went outside. But Merlin caught King Uther's last glance of Lady Igraine.

They both went in a balcony where they see the vast land of Camelot. With many  houses showered with lights and kids running around in the streets.

"Start talking now Merlin, even though it bothers me why you need to bother in my business when it comes to the women I fancy." King Uther disapprovingly said.

"Forgive me for bothering you, your Majesty but what you are doing is immoral. And i know you know that too." Merlin explained. King Uther frowned as dark aura starts emitting out of him. 

"Immoral?! I haven't done something yet you are telling me what I am doing is immoral?" King Uther said angrily. Merlin, though considered by King Uther's friend, feels his authority raving him up.

"Your Majesty, the look in your face is like a look of wanting to possess someone. Your Majety, I know you are lusting after Gorlois's wife. But you have to stop yourself. Whatever you will do concerning Lady Igraine will surely bring you trouble. Your majesty, as one of your advisor, you cannot be with a married woman. That is a sin."

Merlin answered. King Uther sighed,he knew Merlin is right.

It is immoral to lust after a woman is already binded to someone. But what can he do? He is already caught in trance in hope to have Lady Igraine.

"Merlin, you are right. But i just can't stop myself from thinking of Gorlois's wife." King Uther knew Lady Igraine is Gorlois's wife.

"Also your Majesty, Lord Gorlois is one of your trusted allies. You must not disrespect him by coveting his wife." Merlin further said. He saw King Uther momentarily drifted, he somehow smiled knowing he might stop king Uther from committing a sin.

THE celebration have ended and everyone is on their way home. And King Uther went straight into his chamber.
