King Arthur

Chapter 1: The boy

Sir Ector watched his sons, Kay and Arthur as they play with their wooden swords.

Sir Ector is a Knight and was a loyal ally to the late king Uther. But it's been 18 years since King Uther died leaving their kingdom kingless with no heirs to name. The reason why for 18 years everyone had to be strong for endless fights between knights and dukes hoping to claim the throne.

"That's not fair!" Sir Ector was brought back to reality when he heard Kay, his older son, complained.

"What? Of course not. I won fair." Arthur, his younger son said. 

Sir Ector smiled, he knew when it comes to sword fighting, Arthur excels in it.

"No! You cheated!" Kay complained. Arthur just shrugged and smiled naughtily. Sic Ector went to his sons.

"Boys, no fighting." Sir Ector sternly said. Kay and Arthur knew how strict their father. 

There was once when the both of them got into trouble because Arthur pissed off a bully in the streets. Arthur punched the bully and Kay went to stop him but joined afterwards. Sir Ector found out that his sons got into trouble, Kay and Arthur was punished accordingly.

It is known in Camelot how secretive Sir Ector is bout his family, and everyone know that Arthur is his illegitimate son with a peasant they all presume.

"Father, we are not fighting, I am just telling Arthur he cheated." Kay said. Arthur was about to argue when Sir Ector stopped him.

"You both are already 20 and 18 years if age respectively, the both of you should act according to your age. Especially you, Kay, you will be knighted tomorrow but yet here you are arguing with your brother about a game? That is not how a soon to be knight act." Sir Ector said. Buy the mention of Knight, excited both Kay and Arthur.

Being a Junior knight is what every 20 years old man wants. Being a will be respected and looked upon. Also being a knight is you have the hands to arrest criminals. And once a knight earned something valuable, they will become Senior Knight where a knight either join in a war or patrol outside the kingdom. Once a Senior Knight completed a mission, they will be ranked into a Royal Knight, where a Knight have the privilege to guard a royalty and join the King in his trips.

And Sir Ector is one of the Royal Knight.

Kay is getting ready to be knighted as a Junior Knight while Arthur have to wait for 2 more years.

Sir Ector noticed Kay and Arthur's expression when he mentioned the word knight. He just shook his head knowing his sons are excited in being a knight.

ARTHUR laid on his bed while thinking on how to go to the meeting place where he and Morgana, a girl he fancy meet. 

Morgana is an orphaned girl living with a noble old couple, she once told him she has two other sisters but never mentioned their names. He did not asked anymore because he do not care for them but for Morgana only.

Arthur opened the door and went outside. Three servant girls watched him with pure admiration. It is no secret in Sir Ector's estate that Arthur is more popular with women than Kay. And it is no secret that Arthur is a rake, loving the attention he gets from women.

Arthur took the chance to escape although he know he will be punished when comes home, but he just dearly missed Morgana. 

Arthur went to an abandoned house where he and Morgana always meet. He silently opened the door and saw his woman, silently sleeping on a broken but usable bed. He smiled.
