chapter nine

Up until now Josh was playing a game.

The boy you like is to perfect to be real? He must be supernatural! Let's have fun and google it!

But now the boy he likes is literally supernatural and he feels sick. It's not the prospect of him being supernatural that scares him really, just not knowing what he is and what he's capable of, does. Like a lot.

When Tyler's out of the house he locks himself in his room and paces. His hands in his hair, muttering curses. In a moment of weakness he looks up, metaphorically to the sky, and asks God for answers.

He feels almost stupid doing it. He's not religious. What is he doing?

Ignoring Jake, one of his teammates, text messages he goes to his call log and brings up a familiar contact.

"You have some nerve calling me Josh." Chris says when he picks up. That in itself is a surprise.

"I know. And I'm sorry. But I need your help."

"My help? Are you serious Josh-"

"Chris-"

"-You think I'm gonna drop everything for you because-"

"-listen to me please-"

"You need my help? Are you fuck-"

"CHRIS!" Silence. "This is important." Chris doesn't say anything for a moment but then he sighs.

"I'll be there in ten."

"So he's a vampire?" Chris looks unamused from where he sits on the edge of Josh's bed, Josh still pacing.

"No! Not a vampire he didn't have fangs." Chris laughs. "This is serious Chris. He was literally glowing!"

"I'm still in denial over you guys kissing. Him and Jenna just broke up."

"That's not the point." When Josh sits against his desk and sighs sadly Chris gets the hint that this is more than just some fun.

"Okay. Well what do you suspect he is?" Josh shrugs weakly.

"I have no idea."

"You didn't ask him?" Josh looks at him in shock.

"No, I was to surprised by the literal purple coming from him." Chris raises his hands in surrender.

"Chill." He does. "You said you've been thinking this for a while. Did you ever drop hints?" Josh sighs. That would of been a good idea.

"No." His mind wonders back to when he was at Tyler's house the other day and he'd suddenly turned cold at the mention of angels. Maybe that's it? In hindsight it's a lot better than Werewolf's.

At this thought Josh sits at his desk after grabbing his computer. He opens google.

Fallen angels In the Bible are often referred to as the "sons of God" and as Satan's ministers. The following is a short list of the capabilities of fallen angels:
