Chap 4. Hopefully to be claimed

Quintus' POV

I awoke with Thalia's hand stroking my hair.

"I fainted didn't I " I said sounded tried.

She nodded and looked outside. " It's time for dinner do you think you're up for it?"

I nodded.

She helped me up and I walked stiffly over to the dinner pavilion. Everyone was cleaning up from dinner and was walking over to camp fire.

Thalia handed me two tacos and a water bottle with a napkin. "We can eat during camp fire" she told me.

I walked over and sat down next to Thalia.

Apollo's kids sang a few songs . After they were done singing they called up the unclaimed children (I'm one of them) to be claimed.

As soon as I walked I thought I was the only kid who hadn't been claimed.

But I guess I was wrong because there was a boy about 14 he had black hair that came to his neck.( He needed a haircut).

Then there was a girl about 16 I knew her name it was Valley Harbor.

A dove appeared above the boy's head. Poor guy he was the only son of Aphrodite. Though he was pretty handsome for an Aphrodite child.

As that happened a grain appeared above Valley's head. She was a child of Demeter!

I was next, I waited a few moments but nothing was happening. I heard a loud grumble of a car. Suddenly more campers looked around as they heard the sound too.

There was something coming out from the forest. Two lights appeared.

I finally saw the object. I know this sounds crazy but I saw a mini van it said "Hermes Express".

It stopped right of the at end of the hill.

Hermes the god of travel came out the car "here for a visit" he says and opens a sliding door.

My jaw drops.
