There are alot of rumors that the transforming Pokemon called Ditto is a failed attempt to create Mew. 

Well they are both pink, they are the only Pokemon that know transform, and they have the same weight; 8.8 pounds. It sounds scary, but it sounds like Ditto is actually a melted version of Mew.

Seriously, Ditto is just a big huge pink...blob!
