I awoke to a heavy feeling holding my body down. Slowly, I rolled over to see Will fast asleep next to me, his arm draped over my chest. He'd slept with me? The nerve of this guy.

I gently shuffled out from underneath him and made my way over to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, and was greeted by a pair of red, puffy eyes and what looked like a birds nest on top of my head. I was a mess.

I searched underneath the sink, coming across a small hairbrush that managed to actually brush through my hair, before splashing some cold water on my face. It didn't make much of a difference, but at least now I looked slightly more human.

Quietly, I made may way across the bedroom and out into the hallway, tip toeing down the stairs and into the kitchen. Finn was sitting on the breakfast bar, his feet crossed underneath him as he tipped handfuls of cereal into his mouth straight from the box.

"Morning." he said, smiling at me.

"Hey" I replied, jumping up on the breakfast bar beside him and taking the cereal box from him, stuffing a handful into my mouth.

"Everything OK?" he asked. It wasn't hard to notice that I wasn't dealing with anything particularly well.

"Would you call anything that has happened to me OK?" I replied, fighting the urge to cry again. I was so fed up of crying. It seemed to be all I had been doing recently.

"I understand how you feel you know?" he replied, offering me more cereal. I shook my head.

"I don't think anyone knows how I feel right now." I responded. There was no way Finn could even begin to understand everything I was feeling right now.

"I wasn't born a werewolf you know. The werewolves didn't even find me until I was 10. My parents tried to hide me, just like yours did, but eventually they couldn't keep running." he breathed out. My heart sank in my chest at the thought of Finn, aged 10, being ripped from his parents with no idea of what was happening. I took his hand and squeezed it slightly. He gave me a small smile. "My parents, they died trying to protect me, trying to keep me from being taken."

"I'm so sorry Finn." I kept my hand in his for a moment longer, hoping he found it slightly comforting. I could see that speaking about what happened to him still hurt immensely.

"I know right now this all seems like some kind of nightmare, but if you just give it a chance, give us a chance..." he continued.

"Finn, I can't. This life, I don't want it. I want my parents and my friends. I want normality. This isn't something I can just grow to love." I responded, slipping my hand from his and bringing my knees up to my chin. Will's shirt was so big, I could fit my legs inside it.

"Then what are you going to do? Because Will isn't going to let you go, not now he's found you." Finn asked. I honestly didn't know. When I had agreed to try and settle in, it was only because I hadn't thought through an even slightly successful escape plan. Everything I had managed to come up with had some sort of major flaw, something that would have got me captured again or killed.

"Will said they had been looking for me for years?" I questioned, changing the subject. I still didn't fully understand the whole 'linked since birth' situation.

"Well, when you were born the werewolves would have been able to sense it. The link you have to Will, it acts like a sort of GPS signal. But only if you stay in one place for long enough. So they would have started looking for you, to find you and take you into the pack. But your parents somehow discovered what you were, what you were destined to be, so constantly moved you around to keep you away from us. That night it the woods, it was pure coincidence that we were there when you were. And you falling from the tree was just luck." he explained.
