Drew POV
Falling asleep on Riley's shoulder was amazing. My hands clasped around his strong arms, his warm body snuggled against me. I just kept falling further and further.
I hope I didn't go to far. But if I wanted a boy like Riley, I had to move fast so no one else took him. He didn't seem unhappy or uncomfortable, so I just snuggled into him and fell asleep.
The only unpleasant part of the whole thing was waking up when Gwen poked me, and jumping about 6 feet in the air.
"Wow, somebody's already moved past kissing," Gwen told me, pretending to look stern.
"We didn't kiss, we just fell asleep," I told her.
"Whatever you say," she answered.
"Wait, what time is it?" I asked.
"8:30," Gwen answered.
"I've been sleeping in a public park for 4 hours," I said. Wow, I thought, I may have gone a bit too far.
Riley stirred and sat up, "what happened?" He asked, disgruntled.
"We fell asleep. 4 hours ago," I said.
"Oh," he looked a little worried. "My moms gonna be worried, I should go."
"Ok," I said, hoping I hadn't overstepped, "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Cool," he answered with a genuine smile. I don't think he was mad.
       "Great," I said.
"And I'll walk you home," Gwen butted in.
We walked off in opposite directions and I waved goodbye.
"What happened?" Gwen practically screamed when he was out of earshot.
"I was tired from our run so I leaned over and fell asleep," I said, then whispered, "on his shoulder. Snuggled into his side. Holding his arm."
"Really? That's awesome! Did he ask you out?" She asked anxiously.
"Kinda. We're going to go have a picnic on the hill and watch the stars," I told her.
"That's amazing. And why did you fall asleep on him?" She asked.
"I don't know, he just asked if I wanted to go on a picnic and I was tired and it was all perfect, so I just fell asleep," I said, "it was like sleeping on a warm puppy tummy. With muscly arms."
        "Wow," Gwen said.
        "Yeah," I answered.
Riley POV
That was amazing, and I didn't want to leave her side ever again, but my curfew was 9 since it was a new town, and I figured if I broke it, there would be no picnic tomorrow.
I'm surprised she couldn't hear my heart pounding when she cuddled up to my side and put her head on my shoulder.
I thought I was going to explode with happiness. But instead I put my arm around her and pulled her warm body closer to my side, and laying my head on hers I fell asleep.
*next day*
I knocked on the door, and an adult woman answered.
"You must be Riley," she said kindly, "Drew talks about you all the time."
"Mom," Drew said, coming down the stairs.
She was so beautiful. Her dress went down to her mid thighs, and was black with pink and red flowers. She had also taken off all her makeup and looked completely natural, her big blue eyes bright and shining, her cheeks had a pink blush, and her big smile covering her face.
        "Wow," I said, "you look..."
"Thank you," her face reddened, and her eyes shot down to her grinning mother.
"You guys be safe, ok," her mom said.
Drew kissed her mom on the  cheek and said, "bye mom."
As soon as we were out the door she grabbed my hand and dragged me to her car. "Do you want to drive, or should I?" She asked me.
     "I can," I told her.
     "Cool," she said.
*at the hill*
"So what did you bring to eat?" She asked.
"I made sammiches." I said, flinching when I realized I said sammiches.
She raised an eyebrow, "sammiches?"
"I think I've spent a bit too much time with my little sister."
She laughed.
"So, shall we have our sammiches?" I asked.
        "Sure," she said, "which one?"
        "Any," I answered.
"Great," she grabbed one with salami.
          "Salami girl huh?" I asked.
"I don't like most processed meats," She told me, biting into her sandwich. She smiled and finished chewing. "This is great," she said, "you're a sandwich master."
"That's funny, I never really thought that myself," I said.
"Doesn't your sister tell you how good your sammiches are?" She asked playfully.
            "Not often," I answered.
             "Hmmm," she took another bite.
We sat in silence until we finished and I asked, "so do you look at the stars a lot?"
"No," she answered. "Sophie, Gwen, and I used to lay squished into a one person chair altogether and stare at the sky. We got really interested and started to actually get into it, but I guess we just got too busy to enjoy the simple things like the stars in the sky."
"Did you use a telescope?" I asked.
         "No," she said.
"You want me to teach you?" I asked.
         "Please," she answered.
I set it up, "just put your eye to it and twist it until you find what you're looking for," I said.
"Is that one a planet?" She asked, pointing.
           "I think that's Mars," I answered.
"I'm going to find it," she told me happily. She twisted the telescope around for a while then looked to me. "Can you help?" She asked sheepishly.
"Sure," I said coming up so her back was pressed against me. She flinched a little, hopefully just out of surprise.
          "Is this ok?" I asked.
          "Yes," she smiled at me.
I smiled too and moved the telescope to what I thought was the right place.
"I see it!" She cried happily.
I started to move back but she wrapped her arm around mine. "Stay," she whispered, "its cold."
She looked through the telescope for a while then looked at me, "do you want to see?"
"Sure," I said leaning over her to put my eye up to the telescope. She snuggled her face into my neck.
"Do you want to look without the telescope?" I asked.
       "Ok," she answered.
We layed  on the ground on our backs for a while before Drew jumped up, "a shooting star!"
"Make a wish," I said while standing up.
        "I did," she said.
We stood and looked at the sky, "Riley," she whispered suddenly.
"Yes," I turned to look at her.
"You have to kiss me," She said.
          "I think you're right," I answered.
Drew POV
The kiss was perfect. I kept waiting for him to try and deepen it but he didn't. So I did, and immediately he did too, faster, but like he was worried he would crush me if he kissed me too hard. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me as close as I could get and I threw my arms around his neck, tugging him further down to me.
We just kissed for a long time until he finally pulled back slightly. "We should go home," he breathed out.
       I groaned, "not yet."
"Ok," he shrugged, and I pulled his smiling lips back down to mine.
I finally put my hands on his chest and pushed myself back. "I have a curfew," I said sadly.
        "I know," he whispered.
I curled my fingers around the soft material of his shirt, "I don't want..."
"I don't either," he cut me off, "but we have to."
I tucked my head under his chin and mumbled into his neck, "I know."
"Lets go," he said, picking everything up and putting it in a basket.
"Ok," he took my hand and we walked back to the car, smiling all the way.
