Summaries for a story can be hard and feel nearly impossible to do so here's some tips on how to go about them :3
Make sure people actually know what's in the story! If the story has a certain ship it it then mention it in the description, if the story has vampires in it then mention it in the description, if the story has self harm in it then mention it in the description, etc. make sure your readers know what they're getting themselves into!
Putting a quote from the book can be one of the easiest ways to go about this. Make sure the quote means something, don't just choose a random quote. You could also do this with song lyrics, but make sure to credit the original artist!
Don't put "I suck at summaries" or "this summary sucks" or "story is better then summary", etc. this is a major turn off! The summary is the first thing that readers see of the story so be confident in it!
That is all the advice that I can give at the moment on writing summaries! If you have anymore ideas then please leave them in the comments!
