Tomoko's P.O.V.
I opened my eyes, slowly groaning in exhaustion. It was time for school. I hated when the weekend was over because then I'd have to drag myself back to that prison. I thought, as I lazily got up and threw off my covers. I wasted no time in getting myself ready as I rushed to the bathroom before Tomoki beat me to it. He woke up a few minutes after me and was headed to the bathroom but luckily I had finished in time so there wouldn't be a conflict so early in the morning. I then dressed in my school uniform, walking in front of the mirror as I fixed my tie. I sighed deeply, looking at my reflection. I didn't bother fixing my hair since it's natural messy style looked fine.
I grabbed my back pack and went down stairs to have breakfast where I greeted mom. Tomoki was right behind me as we both sat at the table. I didn't really have much to say today so we just ate in silence. Mom was giving us weird looks and side glances. I can tell she was worried about us, specifically me....but this was who I am and now I have to drag on with my everyday routine. When breakfast was over, Tomoki and I headed to school. We didn't really talk much along the way although we both were still equally tired. Tomoki, however, immediately perked up when his friends were headed his way and they passed me by. It was like at school, we didn't even know each other and I never wanted to get in the way of his friends because I wanted my own.
I guess you could say I had a friend. If you could call Yuu a friend. She didn't really....compliment me at all, at least not anymore. She had everything I wanted and being around her made me jealous more than anything but I tried not to think about it because jealousy is for dweebs. I didn't expect anything eventful to happen at school and all my thoughts seemed to fade away once I saw Yuu waving to get my attention.
Yuu: Good morning Tomoko.
Tomoko: Hey....
I half mumbled. Until the bell rang, Yuu just chatted to me about stuff I really didn't care about. I occasionally nodded, threw in a few words but didn't really talk back. When class started and Yuu and I parted ways. I felt so bare as if my shield had been taken away. Yuu was like my cover up, without her, it felt like everyone's eyes were on me. At least with her I didn't look like some lonely little idiot. But I was on my own now and I usually kept my head down as I pushed onward to class. I took my seat once I entered just like everyday before. The same old bitchy girls as well as the awkward feeling of being in class with so many people. Though the routine was slightly different. After the morning announcements, the teacher announced something unexpected.
Ogino: Class, I know it's a surprise but I'd like to introduce a new transfer student. You can come in now.
Mr. Ogino said as he looked at the door. The door opened and suddenly, the new guy strolled in. He stood out already. I fond my self staring at him. He looked like he could be in one of those overrated boy bands. He had the hair to justify it. It was a shiny, smooth ( hair color) that wavered as he walked to the front of the class. His skin was pristine and his face was sexy. I was a little confused at what he was wearing since it wasn't the school's normal uniform. Still, I was just glad he didn't look my way. I don't know if I could handle the moment of us having eye contact. I just slouched down in my seat trying to make myself as small and as unimportant as possible. A guy like him would never talk to me. The slutty girls and the popular kids are going to pull him in as one of them. They were already muttering in "aw" at him and I could hear the girls chattering up about whose going to get to him first. He'd just be another person that I envy from afar.
Mr. Ogino: Nice to meet you, I'm Mr. Ogino. How about you introduce yourself to the class?
???: ....Do I have to?
He said in a whisper but everyone heard him.
Mr. Ogino: Go on now. Don't be shy.
???: Sigh....my name is (Y/n) (L/n) and I moved here from another school.
Mr. Ogino: Is that all?
(Y/n): Yes....-_-
Ogino: Alright then. I want everyone to help (Y/n) out and make him feel welcome. You may take a seat behind Tomoko.
OH NO!!! DON'T LOOK, DON'T LOOK, DON'T LOOK!!! I say as I hang my head as the new guy takes a seat behind me. I was glad my hair was long enough to cover my face. Now it will be equally stressful to go about the day with a super hot guy sitting behind you. I hope he's the type to not be interested in someone like me. I don't think I can stand the pressure of his attention. He didn't look down at me as he passed by and if he did I think I would have killed myself....
Time skip to lunch.....
During lunch time, my class rushed like a giant stampede over to (Y/n). They basically drowned his personal space. He didn't look like he was appreciating the attention. I usually would have left class to get away from all these idiots and eat by myself but I wanted to see what group the new guy would choose so I ate at my desk. It served him right to be hounded like a celebrity and even more pleasing because he was uncomfortable. Just the thought of it made me giggle as I brought some food up to my mouth. The girls were giving him lovey dove eyes and the guys were constantly trying to convince him to be in their inner circle of close knit friends.
Eventually however. Mr. Ogino told everyone to refrain from making (Y/n) feel drowned by them so they kept their distance from him for a while. The show was over and I had finished my lunch as I got up to place my bento back with my other belongings. I shouldn't have moved because at that moment when I looked up, (Y/n)'s (eye color) eyes were locked with mine and he was headed my way......
