A/N: I've edited the author's note in chapter 9. I accidentally put 'university' instead of 'high school'. So, to clear it up, for those who think that Danni and Jade go to university, they don't. They go to high school.

I'm still sick, by the way. So if it's crappy, I'm sorry.

That is all.

*Danni's P.O.V.*

I kick on the ground, making the swing move a bit. I stare at my phone. Nothing.

"Hey, I'm gonna go. Orton just texted me." Jade says and stands up from her swing seat.

"Orton? Who's that?"

"A friend I've been hanging out with. He's with Alisa." she explains and I furrow my eyebrows.

"Alisa? You mean Alisa Norrhingwire? The same Alisa from Art and P.E. class?" I ask, remembering the cheerleading captain back at school.

"Yeah. We're gonna go to..." she reads the text message, "Ah, yes. Their friend's band's gig. After that, they're coming over. You wanna come?"

"Oh. I'd love to come but I'm really not in the partying mood. I'll just wait 'till they come over later." I smile.

"Alright then. Bye, babe." she hugs me and kisses me on the cheek. She walks away and waves at me.

"Oh, Jade?" I call out once she's at the doorway, "What day is it?"

"Hmmm... It's... Tuesday." I nod and she leaves, leaving me alone in the playground.

I see the sun smiling down on the earth, embracing us in warmth. Birds chirp, singing their own tunes. Music and loud singing erupts from the house, and I assume the lads are having a small music party. An extra loud one, too.

I hear the door open and close but I don't turn around to look at who it is. Instead, I close my eyes and hum to myself, a creaking sound coming from beside me, indicating that someone sat on the other swing seat.

"Hey." and my eyes shoot open at the familiar voice.

"I, uh, h-hey." I stutter, panicking and ending up falling on the ground, "Oww!"

"You alright, Danni?" he asks, helping me up.

"Yeah. Sure. No problem. I, um, just fell." I say once I'm back on my feet, "Thanks."

"Be careful." he chuckles, sitting back down on the other swing. I on the other one.

"Say, um, Zayn?" I call out, looking at him. He looks at me as well.

"Hmm?" he hums.

"Why'd you... why'd you do it?" I ask.

"Did what?"

"The... um... the thing... yesterday..." I answer, looking down.

"What are you tal-oh! That!" then he chuckles, "Nothing! Just wanted to have fun. Tease you." he shrugs.

"Oh." I whisper, looking away from him and the ground.

Silence. Nothing but the birds' constant singing and the sound of the music blaring from the house can be heard, though the music isn't that loud as it probably is from the inside 'cause we're outside.

"Danni?" Zayn starts.

"Yeah?" I look at him.

"I received some... letters last Friday..." he clears his throat, "And all of them were completely annoying and bitchy."

My heart almost broke. He thinks I'm annoying and 'bitchy'? Really, now? Well that... hurt.

"Except one." he adds and I furrow my eyebrows at him.

"Who, um, who wrote it?" I ask.

"Well, I'm not exactly sure...." he trails off.

"Ahhh...." I mutter.

"I don't suppose 'Danni Annie Davis' is your whole name, is it?" he asks.

"It... is." I say.

He gulps. He turns to face me, looking me in the eye.

"You wrote it."
