I almost drop my phone, "What?!" I reply. "They had a freaking automatic gun!" Darlene says. Her voice cracking and emotional. "Dark Army is pissed and we're in this too deep. They could be out to get us. Please tell me you can handle this." She says. "Where are you?" I ask. "I'm at the police station they just finished questioning me." She says. "Okay, here's the plan. I'm coming in a car to pick you up. We're going to my mom's vacation house outside of town. No one knows about it but me and her. It's safe there." I reply. "Okay." She replies. "Just hang on." I say. "I'll try." She replies. I hang up and call my mom. "Mom I need a car." I say. "Okay I'll have them bring yours." She replies. "I have a car?" I ask. "I was going to give it to you as a wedding gift but i'll send it now." She answers. "Thanks." I reply. "Sure thing." She says. "Call me when you have an update." She adds. "Sure thing." I reply. I hang up and grab my coat.

A few minutes later a rollback truck arrives. The driver takes the car off the back. "Good afternoon Ms Abarai." He says. "Thanks." I say quickly. I tip him and get in the car.

I start to call Elliot again when I hear a knock on the window

I start to call Elliot again when I hear a knock on the window. I unlock the door for him. "What's up?" He asks as he gets in. "Dark Army hacked Saya." I answer. I can't even think straight between the shooting and the hacking. How do I tell him about Cisco?

"They also shot up the diner where Darlene and Cisco were at. He's dead and she's in questioning. She was a mess when she called." I reveal. He looks away. He's concerned and it's justifiable. We pull away from the curb. "I'm going to pick her up and take her to the vacation house. " I say. "What about the hack?" He asks. "You're going to have to go to the server farm." I answer. I hand him my laptop. "I thought you'd want to check up on things." I say. "You read my mind." He says as he opens it. "How is he?" I ask. "Good. He's been living in an expensive apartment. Eating expensive food. Typical Tyrell." He answers. "Did he say why he hasn't went back to Joanna?" I ask. "Apparently he's a Christian now and he wants to avoid falling back into his old life." He answers. "I guess that's legit." I reply. "Legit isn't the word." He says. We laugh, as much as we can with everything going on. Which isn't much.

We soon turn into the police station. We see Darlene standing outside with her arms folded. Her hair a mess, blood on her jacket, mascara smeared. I gulp as we stop infront of her. She'll need consoling, I don't know if I'm even at capacity. She gets in and doesn't say anything. Neither do we.

An hour later as we turn onto the freeway, she cuts the long held silence. "We have to make them pay." She says. "If we go after them now we'll have a full on war on our hands." Elliot replies. "That's bullshit!" She says. "Cisco was their man. If they wanted you they would have gotten you." He replies. She falls back and folds her arms, "So that's how it is." She says. "We're just ignoring the fact that without him we wouldn't have ever even been able to do 5/9. Had it been either of you the other would have been out for blood. God forbid Lexi had been in that diner we'd be running up on their hideout by now." She adds. "But no it was 'just' Cisco. Neither of you gave a shit about him anyways." She says. Elliot holds his head. "Are you..." I begin, before he cuts in. "Darlene I know you're upset but arguing isn't going to do shit for anyone! There's a way of going about this, the last thing we need is them killing more people. Cisco knew what he was getting into the moment he joined them." He says. "Elliot..." I say trying to intervene. I've never even seen him this upset. "Stop the car." She says. "Darlene..." I reply. "I said stop the car!" She yells. I pull over onto the shoulder of the road. She gets out and starts walking. "Elliot you know she's emotional." I say. "She had to hear the truth." He replies. "She just lost her long time boyfriend." I remind. "If you lost me would you want to hear that? Would you want someone to try to justify my murder and sprinkle salt on your wound?" I ask. He just stares out the window. I sigh and get out of the car to chase after Darlene. "Darlene get back in." I say running after her. Running across grass, in heels, hungry, and tired, equals winded, upset, and moody.

I catch her and bend over to catch my breath. "I'm going back." She says. "To where?" I ask between pants. "I don't know and i'm sure you don't care." She answers. I walk in front of her, "I know you're pissed and so am I. What happened shouldn't have happened but it did. There's no justification for them doing what they did and I feel your pain. Darlene, Elliot was right when he said Cisco knew the dangers and so do you. Dark Army are big and intricate there's nothing we can do to stop or punish them without making things worse. All we can do is carry on with our plan so Cisco's efforts won't be in vain." I say. "And if you need to cry first then cry. My shoulder is always open." I offer.

She hugs me and cries. I know it hurts and I can only imagine how she feels.
