5.5 long months later.
Elliot sits the lasts of the boxes in our new baby room. "I guess that's it." He says. "Yup." I answer. I sit on a box and he comes over to me. "How do you feel mama?" He asks. "Good." I answer blushing. "How about you, hard working papa?" I ask. He smiles. "As long as you're happy I'm happy." He replies. I kiss him and nuzzle his nose. "I'm glad you said that, because the wedding planner will be here in T minus 5 minutes." I reveal. "And she'll have you changing the setup in 10." He replies.
9.5 minutes later
"Okay. So here's the options for food. Chicken or Steak, or an open buffet." The planner says. "The buffet. Can we have some snacks and treats too? OOOO Maybe a chocolate fountain!" I say excitedly. Elliot smiles. "Well, that would be a little extra..." The planner announces. I look at Elliot, "Anything she wants." He says. The planner smiles, "Good! I'll have everything arranged." She says. She gathers her folders and leaves excitedly. "You're so sweet." I say rubbing Elliot's cheek. "Not as sweet as that fountain is going to be." He jokes. He drinks some of his lemonade. I laugh, "Oh, I've been wanting you to feel something." I say. I place his hand on my stomach. He smiles. "They've been kicking like crazy." I say. "Well they are due soon." He says. "What if my water were to have broken just now?" I joke. "Did it?!" He asks. "No no no, i'm merely joking." I admit with a playful tone. I get up, "But i do hope it breaks soon." I say. I wobbles towards the bed. He quickly gets up and helps me. He covers me up and kisses my forehead, "Do you want anything to eat or drink?" He asks rubbing my stomach. "No i'm okay. I practically ate a whole pizza while you were at work." I answer. He smiles, "Well I guess I'll just lay here with you then." He says. He crawls in the bed beside me. "What do you want to name them?" He asks. "I don't know. Something cute." I answer. "But nothing that would embarrass them when they're older." I joke. "How about Elliona and Edward?" He asks. I start to answer when I feel something snap almost. I pause, "Elliot.." I say holding my stomach. He sits up. "My water just broke." I say.
Elliot paces outside of the hospital. He lights a cigarette and sits down, then gets back up. "Why so nervous?" Mr Robot asks. "I'm about to be a father and I don't know one thing about how to be one." Elliot answers. "You seemed happy before." Mr Robot replies. "I am, and that's the part of me that I want to be. But you and I both know that's only half of it." Elliot says. "I have depression, social anxiety, mania, i'm a former drug addict who can't even see morphine without having twitches." He says.
"I'm surprised Lexi even wanted to have kids with me." He admits. "Lexi wanted to have kids with you because she loves you and she thinks you'll be a great father. She's seen you go through all of that. She's the one who used to prepare your medicine for you on a daily basis. When you fell off of the rail that day she was the one who rushed to the hospital and sat by your bed. When you had the withdrawals she held you the entire night. She's the one who'd give you commissary money and visit you every chance she had. Because of her you don't cry every other day out of loneliness, you don't lay awake at night wishing someone were there with you." Mr. Robot reminds. "I know and I love every inch of her. I just want to be everything I need to be for her." Elliot replies. "Just be you and you're going to be an amazing father." Mr Robot says. Elliot smiles. "Thank you." He says. Mr Robot glitches away.
