Lexi's POV

"Darlene you aren't thinking clearly. You're doing this out of revenge and it's not logically needed." I warn. "We could have found a better hideout instead you're using Susan Jacobs' house simply because you don't like her." I say. "Okay babe. Elliot may have left you in his place but I'm still a founding member. Therefore we're equals and I don't see you making any moves." She replies sitting the pizzas down on the table. The new members crowd over and grab slices and a soda. "Thanks boss." One says hugging me. "See Darlene. They were hungry and you didn't even think to feed them." I say. "I'm their leader not their mom. These are grown ass adults." She replies eating. "This isn't a soup kitchen!" She says loud enough for them to hear. They eat slower. "Okay first of all you're more a manager than a leader. In that order. Second we don't know these people for all we know they could be undercover cops." I warn. "They were all screened." She answers. "And they think we're a splinter group." She adds. "You're opening us up to unnecessary risks." I warn. "Okay you're getting annoying as hell i'm going for a walk." She says. She leaves and I sigh. I know what I have to do.

"What have you been up to?" Darlene asks tapping her cigarette. "I talked to all of our members and got to know them. I needed to build a connection with them." I say. I sit down. "Most of them just want to be apart of something, they want a revolution." I say. "Cool." She replies. "Well if they want a revolution they need a leader. Not a manager." I say. "Lead them." I add. "What am I supposed to do? Rile them up pep rally style?" She asks. I nod. "Why don't you do it?" She asks. "Because this is more personal to you than it is to me. I believe in the cause but this is you and Elliot's group, not mine." I answer. "You have to impress on them how important this is." I say. "What if I'm the person that needs to be riled up myself." She replies. "Lexi we unleashed a shit storm. I cant tell them it'll be okay if I don't believe it myself." She says emotionally. "Unless we get ourselves in line it won't be okay. Elliot gave me a list of things via IRC that need to be done and we're going to do everything possible to make it happen. Don't you trust him?" I ask. She hesitantly nods. "Then speak from that." I reply. "Your trust that we can finish this." I say. "Give me a minute." She says. "Sure." I reply. I go back to the living room.
