Chapter 11
"Hello? Is anyone going to answer me? What's going on?" Jason repeated.
The guy who dared me shot a victorious smirk my way. "We're just playing Truth or Dare, and you just got included."
"What if I don't want to play Truth or Dare?" Jason asked, nervously.
"Too bad. I dared someone to kiss the next guy who walked into the room, and you're our lucky winner."
"Who am I supposed to kiss?" Jason questioned while slowing inching backwards and towards the door he just entered.
The crowd parted like a tide until I was standing alone in the middle of the room.
Jason froze. "Jess?" he gasped. "Uh, I don't think this is a good idea—"
"Agreed!" I quickly exclaimed. "Besides, you said I had to kiss the next guy that walked through the room; Jason's not a guy, he's a pig!"
"Hey! I hate this idea just as much as you, but you don't see me throwing insults your way!" Jason glowered.
"You're not getting out of this," the guy smirked. "A dare's a dare."
"But what if I told you that I have inside information saying that Jason is actually a girl? She was born under the name Jessica, but later decided to parade around as a guy named Jason. She's a cross dresser and therefore doesn't count for the dare!"
"I'm not a girl," Jason fumed, his face as red as a tomato. "We can take this elsewhere and I can prove it if you want."
This time it was my face which went up in flames. "That is certainly not necessary," I quickly countered.
"You know, we haven't got all day," the stupid darer chuckled. "Hurry up and get your chops a smacking."
"Shut up before I start 'a smacking' your face," I growled.
"I would listen to her. She's viscous," Jason added.
"You shut up too. I hate you."
"Hey, it's your fault we're in this position, not mine."
"I don't care. I still hate you."
"Seriously Jess, we have better things to do than listen to you and Jason argue all day," Krista sighed. "Either do the dare or back out."
"And if you back out, we'll have an even worse replacement dare," the darer smirked, evilly. And yes, I'm not exaggerating. He had a frickin' evil look on his stupid baby face. He looked like a psycho pug dog. And yes, pugs are definitely psycho. If you don't agree with me then meet my Aunt May's pug. He will tear you to pieces... literally.
"I'm not backing out," I growled and glanced at Jason. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming semi-truck. That didn't sound half that bad at the moment though... at least then I wouldn't have to kiss him. 'Snap out of it!' I told myself. You don't want to grow up to be a serial killer!
Slowly, I inched my way towards Jason who stood rooted to the ground, his gaze unwavering. I stopped when we were an arm's length away from each other. "You're going to have to get closer than that if you plan to kiss me," Jason murmured, one eyebrow curved upwards amusedly.
