Thanks to whoever is reading this! I really hope you enjoy it! Hopefully, I'll be able to post some of my other stories on here as well.  This is a particularily long chapter, and I revised it a lot from its original format. Please, vote, fan me, and comment.  I love to know what my readers think of the story! It makes writing all the more worthwhile, so please, don't be shy! Well, I'll let you get on with reading now :)

My gaze lingered on my surroundings, but I knew it was time to leave. I slipped out of the bathroom, looking around for any signs of Jason. I flinched when a scream rang out from somewhere upstairs. I smiled, pleased and started racing through the dark hallway. Whenever someone screamed it meant that the murderer had killed another victim. Since the scream came from upstairs, I knew I had precious few time to accomplish my goal before Jason returned to the ground floor.

Shadows came alive as people leapt out of their hiding spots before Jason returned, so I blended in easily. My feet followed the well known path that I had taken so many times before. Hidden in the school was the perfect hiding spot.  Only I and a select group of my friends knew about it. Hopefully, one of them would be there now.

I had come with my friend, Sam. Normally we stick together throughout the game, but due to our close proximity to Jason when he killed his first victim, everyone scattered, running for their lives.  In the midst of the chaos, Sam and I were separated.  I chose not to leave, but rather I followed Jason to see where he hid his victim.  I wanted to be the one that caused his loss in the game.  Too bad luck decided otherwise. Jason had vanished into a room with the victim, so I decided to hide while he hid her.  No use in getting caught when you knew where the victim was.  A flight of stairs was nearby, so I rushed over to them and began to dash up two at a time.  My legs didn't move fast enough though, causing me to trip.  My knee landed, painfully on one of the stairs with a thud just loud enough for Jason to hear.  He had finished hiding the victim and began to chase after me, intent on my demise.  I wasted no time in darting up the rest of the stairs and disappearing into the maze that was our school.

I should've waited longer before returning to find the victim.  If I had, maybe I wouldn't be dead now.  However, dwelling on the past doesn't solve anything, so that's why my mind returned to the present.  Sam and I agreed to meet in our secret hideaway if we ever got separated.  Hopefully, he lived up to that promise. Silently, I braved the halls, my heart thumping faster and faster as the time ticked quickly away.  By now, Jason could easily be on the main floor once again.  I didn't want to think about what would happen if he caught me cheating.  However, one thing is for certain, my reputation would have a huge stain on it.  I could almost envision the people talk about me. 'No wonder she was so good... she cheated!' I would not have that hanging over me!

I began to relax slightly as I neared my destination-the gym.  I snuck through the large double doors, and slid along the outer wall to where a supply closet was located.  Inching open the door, I saw that everything was clear, so I vanished through the door, listening to the small click as it shut behind me.

            "Sam?" I whispered.

            "Jess?"

"Sam, it's you! I'm so happy you're here!"

"Give me a second," Sam grunted.

I waited, patiently for him to emerge from his hiding place. In the supply room stood a large wooden shelf for balls and other gym equipment. We learned to maneuver ourselves under it and sneak into a small penned in area that was normally kept locked.  That's where the more expensive equipment was kept that the teachers didn't want stolen-it was also the perfect place to hide. "Quick I don't have much time," I sighed, running out of patience.
