**Leigh's POV**

It's been a week since the events at the park with Jesse. I've been avoiding him at school and so far I have been amazing at it. Except for the two classes with him, it's kind of hard to avoid someone when they're sitting right next to you but I've just been playing it cool and acted as if nothing had happened.

I've been pretty much all by myself the past week though, since Lexi has been pretty much spending every free time of hers with Josh. I don't blame her though, she finally got the guy she has been crushing on since freshmen year and he's really sweet to her.

As for Blaze he's still hasn't come back from his visit to his girlfriend. I haven't heard from him since he left 5 days ago and I'm getting worried that he didn't succeed in winning his girlfriend back but then there's also the possibility that he did and they're just spending quality time together.

I'm currently sitting with Lexi and Josh in a booth at the cafeteria. They were busy talking about their date this coming saturday while I finished my lunch left to my own thoughts.

"Hey Leigh, don't you feel that?" Lexi asked me all of a sudden giving me a weird look.

I returned it with my own confused look. "Feel what?"

"You know that weird feeling that you get when someones just staring at you. Like they're boring a hole into your back."

"Uh yeah? But why?" I was starting to get really confused.

She looked somewhere behind my shoulders before looking at me again. "Well a certain Mr. back there has been staring at you since lunch started."

Of course. He's been doing that all week. If he wasn't trying to talk to me, he just watched me. I don't understand why he just couldn't get it through his head that we couldn't go back to the way we were. It just won't work anymore. As much as I would want to.

"Jesse? He's been doing that a lot this week, I guess I just got used to it."

Josh spoke up this time. "Why don't you just end the guy's suffering and talk to him already. He seems pretty miserable."

"Because I already know what he wants to say and he knows my answer. I'm not going to keep him away from seeing Nika but that's it. I can't get back together with him."

"I don't get how it wouldn't. By the looks of it, he's still completely into you and I know you still want things to work out, don't try to deny it. I know you Leigh." Lexi gave me a look when I opened my mouth to protest.

"But it just won't work out. He's with Aimee, and besides I heard her friends talking the other day about how Aimee was saying that she's pregnant. No doubt it's Jesse's."

Yeah I heard them. They had no clue I was in the bathroom and I don't think they would've cared if they did anyways. It hurt a lot when I heard about it but I figured it shouldn't since Jesse and Aimee are dating and whatever happens between them has nothing to do with me anymore. It's their lives.

"Wait what? Aimee's pregnant?" Leigh asked bewildered. "That manwhore."

I sighed. "Lex, it's fine. They're dating, it's not like he got some random girl pregnant. It's their decesion. "

"But still, didn't he learn the first time? Geez." She said shaking her head.

"And you're sure Jesse's the dad?" Josh asked me.

I gave him a look. "Well I mean they are dating and Jesse is her boyfriend, so yeah um I think he would be the dad."

"I just meant AImee has a reputation of sleeping around and it wouldn't surprise me if it's someone else's baby. I don't even think those two have slept together." He explained.

"Well then if she cheated why would Jesse stay with her?" I asked him.

He didn't answer, just looked down.

"Told you."

At that moment the bell rang and the three of us stood up and started to walk to our classes.

"I'll see you later, ok Leigh?" Lexi said as she and Josh turned to go the opposite direction I did.

"Ok, but I think I'll walk home later. I need it." I told her.

"Oh ok, just call me if you change your mind."

"Ok, bye." I said before walking to my class.

                                                                   ********************************

After putting all my binders in my locker except for my math one, I started out for the door. I really needed some time to think. The house wasn't far from school, only about 5 miles away.

I walked down the sidewalk enjoying the breeze blowing through my hair and my face. It felt refreshing. I haven't had alone time to think in awhile. Nika and everything else that has happened have kept me too busy to give myself some time alone.

I walked on for awhile before I heard a car behind me coming to a stop. When I knew it was just right behind me, I turned to look and groaned wishing I hadn't.

My pace got faster as I tried to get away from the person. A car door shutting had me cussing under my breath and I was about to consider running before he called out my name.

"Stop walking away from me will you?" Jesse's voice got closer and closer before he was behind me and grabbing my arm, causing me to stop and turn to him.

I glared at him before tugging my arm back harshly. "What do you want Jesse?"

"Can we talk?" He asked ignoring my death glare towards him. "Please?"

"We have nothing to talk about," I sighed turning away. "If it's about Nika, I'm fine if you want to spend some time with her, but can we just keep our connection at that."

"But we do have to talk. Please?" Jesse said turning me to face him again. "Just please let me explain and then if you still don't want to talk to me after that, I'll leave you. Give me one chance please?"

I thought about for a moment before deciding that he at least deserved this after what I've done. I sighed, "Fine. Talk."

He let out a breath before giving me a small smile. "Ok, but not here."

Jesse grabbed my hand and started pulling me with him towards his car.

"Whoa, whoa," I said stopping him. "stop. Where are you taking me? Why can't you just talk to me here. Now."

He sighed, running his hands through his hair. I have always found it sexy when he did that.

"We can't talk here. It's in the middle of a random street. We need to talk somewhere more private." He explained.

"But," I was going to argue before sighing. "Ok fine let's go."

I got in the passenger seat, while he went around to the driver's seat. He started the engine and I didn't even bother asking him where we were going.

I just kept silent till we got there. It wasn't that long before we arrived at a familiar place. The park.

The park where we met. Where we admitted to liking each other. Where he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.  And also the park he left me at a few days ago.
