I stared down at her as she pushed me away, her palms hard against my chest.
"Leave."
"Maya-."
"Leave!" She pushed my back towards the window.
"I can help-."
"You've done enough!"
I fell backwards out of the window, hitting my head and watching as Maya jumped and gasped,"Lucas!"
I got up and shook my head at her, and took off down the fire escape.
Maya
I stepped back from the window, my lips trembling. My eyes looking out into the night sky.......what was I doing......everyone was leaving......again.....
I slammed shut the window and threw myself into my bed, crying into the covers.
