Okay I am back and ready to continue this story. If you guys would like to vote and comment and what you think of my book so far. I would appreciate it. Okay so this chapter is going to be short and possibly slow and probably boring. But we'll get through it! Thank you and enjoy the chapter!

"There should be some wood, nails and some hammers in there that we could use," Luke said, pointing at the shed in the backyard.

Nikolina nods her head, and she walks over to the shed, as Luke and 10k walk behind her with their weapons ready.

Nikolina knocked on the shed door twice before waiting for anything. There was slight movement. Nikolina slowly pulled out her sword and looked back at both 10k and Luke.

They nodded.

Nikolina pulled the door open and she stopped herself from killing a dog. A chocolate lab.

The dog was up to Nikolina's waist, but it was thin from starvation. It had a red collar with fur doc tag for her name.

"I thought I would never see a dog again," Nikolina says, as she puts away her sword and kneels down next to the lab. The dog happily licked her face.

"Ana," she says.

"What?" 10k asks.

"The dog's name is Ana."

10k knelt down and put his hand over Ana's head. "Looks thin, she might need something to eat, and to drink too."

They both stood onto their feet and walked into the house, with Ana following behind them. Nikolina walked into the kitchen and lolled through the cupboards to look for a big bowl. Then she grabbed it and she grabbed her water bottle and poured half of the water into the bowl.

She sets it down on the ground.

Ana lapped the water quickly, letting nine to go to waste or to drop onto the floor. Once she was done, she looked at Nikolina and barked softly. Nikolina sighed, and poured the rest of her water into the dish and watched as the chocolate lab drank it up.

"Wonder how long she was locked up in there for," Nikolina said as she turned her head to look at 10k standing against the doorframe to the kitchen. His arms were crossed over his chest and his head was tilted to the side slightly.

Nikolina shrugged, and turn her attention towards the dog, who's laying down on the floor. She ran her hand down Ana's head and she got a soft, happy growl from her. "We may not know how long she's been locked up, but she sure does missed being loved."

10k walked over to the two of them and knelt next to Nikolina, and he slowly extended his arm and petted Ana as well. By the time they were done petting Ana, she was as happy as she could be.

Nikolina sighed before she stood up onto her feet and she walked out of the kitchen, into the living room, with Ana following her and 10k closely behind them. When Nikolina (aka Nina) walked into the living room, the thudding of animal paws Mia heard closely behind the semi-tall girl, she sprang to her feet on the couch from reading her book.

"Is that what I think it is?!" Mia asked excited. Nikolina smiled, and nodded her head. Mia pet Ana on the head, earning some happy breathing from the dog. "Where did you find her?"

"Out in the back shed," Nikolina answers, as she watched Luke nail pieces of wood over the windows. "Need any help?" she asked, as she walks over to him.

"No, I'm good," he said briefly.

Nikolina watched him for a few seconds before she walks back over to where Mia and Ana were. She sat down on the couch and watched the two interact with each other. The large dog enjoyed the attention before she finally laid down on the ground and yawns before putting its head on the floor.
