As the days became shorter and the nights grew longer, so did the warm and cold weather. Summer was coming to an end and soon came fall and then soon after that, winter.

Nina looked down at the supplies they had spread out. "Anything useful?" 10k asked, looking down at the supplies too.

"Other than a few water bottles and some granola bars, nothing really useful," Nina answered.

10k sighs. "Alright. We'll have to go into town and get some things for us so we can survive the harsh weather."

Nina nods her head. "We should probably go at noon," she says. "After we get our barricade up and running."

10k looks up at Nina and he says, "In three hours then?" and she nods her head.

"Yeah..." Nina says. "Me and you can scavenge for supplies and anything else we need while they watch and hold down the house."

10k smiles. "Sounds good to me," and he leans in to peck her lips, before he went to help Javier and Luke.

Nina turns around to put the supplies away in the house and then she walks up the stairs of the house to wear Alice is sitting in a chair with a pair of binoculars.

Nina knocks before she opens the door to the balcony. "How is everything going up here?"

Alice looks up at Nina who leans against the railing looking out at the horizon. "It's going good. No Z's anywhere."

"That's good," Nina says as she turns her head to look at Alice.

The day dragged on slowly as the sun was beating down on us as it warmed us up from the autumn breeze. By the afternoon Luke, Javier and 10k managed to create a barrier of cars around the road and now they were sitting down on the porch, resting their sore muscles as Nina came out into the porch carrying a tray of three glasses of water.

"It should keep the Z's out until we can fix it up some more," Luke says. "Other than that, this will have to do."

Nina puts the glasses of water on the table, and she says, "Here you go."

"Thanks babe," 10k says, as he grabs the glass off of the tray, and takes a sip.

"Your welcome," and she leans against the railing of the porch.

Once 10k was done, him and Nina set out to scavenge for more food, water, any other supplies like: guns and ammo.

As they walk their way down to the town. 10k and Nina were making conversation.

10k was explaining to her about when this group drugged them, took Murphy so they can get oxy and that facilitation was overrun by Z's that were on viagra. Some abnormally fast ones.

Like a child on sugar.

"It was pretty risky but easy to break into considering the zombies were hyped up on viagra," 10k finishes with, as they walk down the road in the sweltering heat.

"I guess I had to be there," Nina says. "We've both had our fair share of adventures at one point or another."

"Yeah," 10k says. "But I had a mission to carry."

Nina looks at 10k, and then she looks back down to the road in front of her. "Yeah, true. I just sat around protecting what I had left. Not really much of a nuisance I guess."
