Chapter 21: I can't promise you that

A/N: I just had pizza and it was so good, The weekend is over and its time to go back to school:/ The bus is overrated. Its Been 6 days since I updated so here you go. "I don't think you should be wearing that" Janice got in the front seat her boyfriend's Truck. "Wear what? I look fine" She raise her eyebrow at Cole. "I know you like fashion Kitten but your crop top is too revealing" Cole was an overly protective boyfriend; he didn't like anyone to stare at his girl. "Its not revealing anything stop trying be so controlling your not my dad" Janice hissed; rolling her eyes at Cole's behavior lately. "Well you are dressing slutty" He accidentally confessed. "Umm excuse me" her eyes widen when she heard the word 'Slutty'. "How am I'm dressing slutty? It's not like I'm having my tits and ass hanging out" Her voice was hostile. "I'm sorry Kitten I didn't mean it like that-" The 17 year old boy became apologetic. "Whatever just drive to school" She was pissed and didn't wanna talk to him at the moment. Cole sighed heavily and pulled out of her driveway, sometimes he wished he didn't get so over protected.

Once the couple entered the school building, they separated into different ways. It was weird because they always walked into places together, hand and hand. Lately, Janice and Cole's relationship has been sinking like the Titanic and augments have been pretty bitter. Cole has been over-thinking because he's always jealous that someone's is going to steal Janice from him despite her telling him that she's not going to leave him for anyone. The two have been deeply in love with each other for 3 years. He loves Janice with all his heart but sometimes he questions if his heart is enough since she is more popular and literally had everyone drooling from her feet while he was in the background; watching her in a distance.

He walked into Physics class and sat in the back row like he usually do. Janice was in the front, chatting with football players and one of them had his arm around her. This made Cole angry but was cowardly to do anything about it because he was a nerd and Janice was a goddess compared to him. He was unable to move since he was admiring his girlfriend beauty's from a far as she smiled and giggled with the cool kids.

"Where do you wanna sit?" Janice asked him when they got their tray of food. "Next to you" he replied shyly because he doesn't have friends. She glanced around the cafeteria and she seen her cheerleading team waiting for her to sit with them but she didn't wanna leave Cole all by himself. She happened to seen Shawn sitting down. "Follow me" She started walking to Shawn's table and He trailed behind her like a lost puppy. "Hi" Janice sat next to Shawn and Cole sat a cross them with a small frown. "Hey" Shawn greeted her with a smile. Taylor came back with his tray of food, seeing that 2 new people had joined them for lunch. Taylor sat next to Cole since Janice and Shawn were seating together. "How's Matt? He's okay right?" She questioned him remembering what happened on Sunday night. "He's fine-" The older boy interrupted Shawn. "What happened to Matt?" He narrowed his eyes.

"They're were running in the woods in the middle of the night" The blonde haired boy answered his question. Taylor suddenly became worried, "Why are you guys in the woods?" and the three of them all glanced at Shawn waiting for him to answer. "Matt needed my help and I found him the woods hurt badly but I seen a person, I didn't get a good look at them.....all I know is that they were wearing black" The memory came up to his mind once again. "You have a familiar face.... your the boy who's family died from 2011 aren't you!" Janice realized. "Yeah I am and Matt told me if I tried to look for that person, someone's going to get hurt" That still send shivers down everyone at the table. "I don't think you should look for the person babe, it's not a good idea" Taylor didn't want him to get involved with anything dangerous, little did he know the younger boy was already involved whether he liked it or not. "What if the same person in the woods was connected to the murder? You have to look for them; you can't let them run free" Janice was right.

"Kitten this is their problem not ours" Cole warned his girlfriend before she agrees with anything. She ignored him, "I would be happy to help you look for them with you, i may be a cheerleader but I know how to use a gun" She pretended to shoot everyone in the cafeteria. "Cole can help you too, he can hack into important information" She suggested. "I don't wanna be apart of this nonsense, just let the police handle it" He crossed his arms defensively. "I agree with him I don't think you two should go trying to find a murder by yourselves" Taylor didn't like their plan. "If we don't find the person who killed my family then who will! It's been 5 years that they have been on the loose and now it's my chance to find them and I'm going to take that risk" There was no stopping Shawn from this and Taylor knew it. "Now if you two don't wanna help that's fine it will just be me and Janice" He got angry for the first time. It was quiet for a few seconds at the table, "I'm good with computers so I'll help you if need certain information" Janice gave him thankful smile and he returned it.

"Good I'll talk to you guys when we get started" the bell rung and The couple left him and Shawn alone. "If you want me to help you I would just promise me I'm not going to die for doing this" Taylor made eye contact with him. "You know I can't promise you that Taylor" Shawn told him the ugly truth.
