Taylor couldn't quite sleep good last night. Usually he has a peceful slumber and never has problems falling asleep...until last night. Now, Taylor was rushing to get ready for scbool since he over slept 15 mintues in bed. He was really tried and wanted to go back to sleep. It wasn't his fault that he bascially couldn't stop thinking about Shawn.
His mind was on the younger boy. Taylor was really curious about him since yesterday afternoon. He wanted to know why Shawn was going to the cemetry. The older boy didn't why he was so eagar to find out. The 16 year-old never been more interested than this. "Taylor come it cereal! We can ride our bikes to school since mom and dad already left with Jordan and the baby!" Kelly yelled from the kitchen. He shook his head to get back in reality and rushed to zip on his pants and slide on his sneakers. He grabbed his book age and bolted down the stairs.
He went into the kitchen and seen there a bowl of lucky-charms made for him. Taylor sat down and started eating it quickly. The older boy was caught off quard when he heard the words, " The 5th anniversary of Family Massacre" from the TV. He glanced up and seen a photo of a happy family displaying on the air.

Taylor spit out his cereal as he seen Shawn's Face on the screen. He looked at the words, "3 murdered and Sole survivor". So many thoughts were going though his mind, who is Shawn? How does he has a connection to this? Taylor wondered. The word "Sole survivor" threw him off a bit since he didn't know what Shawn survived from or how he survived. Taylor wanted to know Who Shawn was and the truth. ---------
Taylor chained up his bike to the medal while his sister did the same. When they was done, they walked up to the front of the school as they seen candles and flowers on the side. The older boy wanted to find Shawn but it seemed like he wasn't going to find him today. He wondered if this was reason that he is quiet. "Are you okay?" Kelly asked him as they entered the school. "Yeah I'm fine" Taylor responded not sure about his emotions at the moment. Kelley gave him a small frowned but didn't say anything and walked separately from him because she was a senior. As he walked the halls, he seen Matt at his locker and immediately knew he had to talk to him.
"I need to talk to you" Taylor came out to him. "Not now best friend stealer" Matt still seemed piss. "It's important" Taylor raised his voice, he wasn't feeling like dealing this kind of crap today. "What do you want?" Matt turned to him with crossed arms with attitude. "What happened to Shawn?" He asked. Matt frozen at the question and Taylor took noticed of that. "Can you please tell me?, I need to know" He begged. "What happened to him is none of your business" Matt got defensive. "Matt, i need to know now so I can help him" Taylor maintained eye contact. "Shawn doesn't let people help him, I tried and it no use so you just get lost" Matt told the truth.
It got quiet between the two for a couple of moments, "If I don't know what happened to him, then I'll never know if I ever could've help him". Matt thought for a second, "Just don't hurt him he's been through enough, look up Mendes Family Massacre". Taylor shook his head as a thank you and speed walked to the library. Taylor headed straight towards the computers once he entered as he sat down going onto Google. He type in the bar, "Mendes Family Massacre" and a lot articles pop up. He clicked the first article that pop up while he read it underneath. "On October 19th 2011, It was regular night for the family until it quickly turned into a tragedy. Neighbors heard Gunshots sounds and screams of terror that cold October night. Both Karen And her husband Manuel Mendes got shot multiple times as Their daughter Aaliyah Suffered worse with dying from blood lost by being stabbed in the chest that hit an artery. Their son Shawn Mendes,11 year old, had survive the attack leaving him to be a Sole survivor".
