Jordan's POV:

"Sorry mummy." I stared wide eyed at the woman. She was their mother!?

The beautiful swan lady didn't look a day over 30 and has hardly any wrinkles, and the fact that she was their mother made it seem so much more unbelievable!
But I suppose it's safe to say that she's extremely beautiful. In a way, her behaviourally and parenting methods reminded me of my own mother, and her beauty. Everything about her made me want an actual mother again, one where I could go on little coffee dates or shopping sprees. One who I could go with and get our hair and nails done. I never got to experience that.

The beautiful swan lady mumbled a 'good boy' and turned around, suddenly stopping when she saw me.
At that very moment, I felt like a was a piece of trash under her gaze.
My eyes widened and she skimmed up my body and back to my face, her eyebrows knitting together.

With that, she looked down and around. Her gaze was fixated on the breakfast I had made only a mere 10 minutes ago. I then watched her eyes pop, then a huge smile soon replace the tug at her lips that had formed a frown only moments ago.

"You must be the new maid!" She said, clapping her hands together happily while still smiling that beautiful smile. I was too busy staring at her 1000 dollar smile to realise what she had said.

The words began sinking in and my eyebrows knitted together, all my senses filled with confused ones.

Didn't she know Maria was still the maid?

"Um.. No. I'm not." I said almost hesitantly. The swan lady even had me questioning who I was.

Her smile faltered and she sent me a cold glare.

"Then... Who are you?" She asked in a rather rude of a voice.

"I'm-"

"She's my mate." Alexander interrupted.
I looked over at him and he sent me and his mother a proud smile.
He stood up and came next to me, wrapping a protective arm around my waist.
I felt his lips kiss the top of my head.

I sent him a shy smile and directed my attention back to a very angry looking swan lady.

Her face seemed to drop even more when she watched me smile at her. An unpleasant scowl grew amongst it.

"Oh." She began dryly.

"I told you Alexander, I wanted Vivian as your mate." She growled. My stomach knotted. Who the fuck is this Vivian? Has he slept with her? Is she... Better than me?.. Obviously if his whore of a mother wants her with him.
I snapped out of my thoughts as his mother stared at me with flames in her blue eyes.

"Vivian should be Luna, Not... This." She spat, while ushering at me with unpleasant actions.
My eyes widened, mouth hanging open in shock.

Now I understood that rose saying. Beautiful to look at, hurtful to touch.

"Mother! How dare you speak to my mate and your Luna that way! And no matter how much you wanted Vivian to be my mate, it was never going to happen. She's a disgusting, stupid whore who has slept with all of the unmated wolves here, plus Vivian would be and is totally unacceptable and unfit for being a Luna anyways!" Alexander boomed. I felt his grip on me tighten and I whined. I could feel the tension rise as his skin became hot against mine.
